    Choosing correct master cylinder

So, what is master cylinder pressure supposed to be like? I can't get my brakes to bleed at all. Been at it for over an hour and i can't build up any decent pressure in them. I took off the lines at the MC and plugged with my finger. I gave the handle a few pumps and could feel a bit of...

GSX-R front end swap on REVERSE comstar wheel

So i'm calling this swap done now that everything on the front end is buttoned up and brake lines are on ...... For anyone researching in the future, i've included my diagram of the profile of the spacer i used. The rotors need to be spaced out 27mm away from the Honda Comstar hub to line up...

Best way to bend this seat pan

Got the seat foam glued up. I dont have access to an electric knife and the second hand stores around me are only good for used clothes it seems. Gonna be a hell of a mess but I'm going to try it with a coarse flapdisc on the grinder sometime this week or weekend.

    2002 Jeep TJ "Baa Baa"

I ran ARB air lockers in mine ..... and to be honest, they were kind of a pain in the azz. The air delivery system, solenoids, lines, air source .... it's too complicated. Plus you gotta drill and tap the housing, route lines, bend the hard copper line inside. OMG, so much work now that i think...

    2002 Jeep TJ "Baa Baa"

Surprised you havent had that sway bar disconnected already, for trails. The TJs off road ability easily doubles by disconnecting the front sway bar. That solid axle has a lot more travel in it when its disconnected. The quick disconnects will be an awesome upgrade. I had a TJ for many years...

Yeah I ended up welding them on this morning, since I had already made them. Welded a tab on the back and tapped a thread so it won't need a nut on the back It should work ok. Couple pics for reference.

Looking great! I dig the stealth look on the side covers and fasteners! It's funny to compare these differences between east and west. Over here Canadian tire is absolute SH*T for fasteners. Certainly nothing you want to put on a motorcycle, unless you want to hold things together with hot...

"RATTLE CAN" BLING! ...everything is here!

Yes. Thanks! What about the sanding itself? Light finger pressure? Medium? Did you use a block? Gotta admit. I'm really intimidated, lol

Canadabolts.ca is a new company! The owners set it up after having a hard time finding fasteners to rebuild their VW camper van. I made an order last month and had a very smooth transaction. I think I ordered about 70 different stainless bolts, from M4 to M10 to replace on my bike. Local...

"RATTLE CAN" BLING! ...everything is here!

Wow what a huge improvement! That's amazing. I gotta ask: 1. Did you figure out what caused your orange peel to begin with? and did you get it throughout or just some parts of the job like me? 2. How many coats did you have on? Because I'm super paranoid of sanding too much or through the...

"RATTLE CAN" BLING! ...everything is here!

Also, I picked up a "tack cloth" at the store and it's great. It's only a buck or two but really helps get all lint and dust off. It picked up some metallic flakes too, which I assume is just some overspray that dried loose on top. Got the tank looking real smooth before the clear. Last but not...

"RATTLE CAN" BLING! ...everything is here!

Threw on the spraymax 2k clear tonight when it cooled off. Not good! Got too much orange peel! The damn can doesnt give instructions at all!!!! I thought maybe i went too thick per coat, but the area around tank opening got quite a bit coverage too and turned out much better! Then I thought...

I hear ya but unless you're an experienced autobody guy it's never going to be perfect. Gotta draw a line somewhere. At least thata ther way I look at it. I've never filled something in and stood back and said "that's perfect now". Lol Be interesting if you report on the wear and tear...

any tips for wetsanding 2k clear? Soft sanding block? light pressure? I'm always paranoid of sanding too much, especially on corners or sharper edges. Is 2000 grit too high?

I'm happy with how it looks and I'm not going to do any wet sanding of the paint or applying 12 coats like the first page mentions. I barely got 4-5 layers out of the 1 can of perfect-match.

"RATTLE CAN" BLING! ...everything is here!

I discovered mine long after it was too late for the masking tape trick, unfortunately. Coaxed him out with some 2000 grit, but under the right light it is a bit noticeable now. At least the surface is flat, so hopefully once a few layers of clear are on it will be fine. It's one of those...

So any tips for removing a single small piece of lint that got stuck? The paint went on quite well I done want to wet sand. Do I just try and pick it off with tweezers or do I live with it lol

"RATTLE CAN" BLING! ...everything is here!

Speaking of which .... does 2k spraymax clear come in matte, glamour and gloss .... or is glamour their way of saying gloss, so there are only matte and gloss? Initially was thinking gloss, but the way this color looks right now is a bit of a matte or flat finish and now I'm debating if maybe...
