Hi all. I butchered the top case of my '78 cb750f trying to get the studs out and am wondering if I can just swap out the cases from a different model year? I know the top end has some changes from earlier models. Should i swap out both cases or just the top? Thanks!
Hello! I recently bought a 1978 honda cb750f. It came with a '79 cb750f aluminum front comstar rim and the original '78 rear steel comstar. I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the rear from a '79 is a direct swap. I'm running cb900f calipers and mounts so I'm guessing it is. The rims are the...
Bought this off a friend for $100. Figured I'd just part it out and make some money but I'm in need of a new project and plan on keeping it now. It was seized and missing the keys/title. I let some marvel mystery oil sit on the cylinders for a week, then rocked the rear tire back and fourth in...
Hello. I just picked up a cb750 with triple disks and comstars. Were there ever any Morris or Lester rims that could be used with a rear disk? Are they bolt on or is there spacing that needs to be changed?
Thanks!
So just finished rebuilding the 360 and I can't get it to sync. I've adjusted the valves, set the timing with a pamco electronic ignition, and checked for vacuum leaks. When I hook up the sync gauge no matter which way I turn the screw it won't sync. The throttle cables are lubed and not...
Picked up a new project. A 1974 cl360 that I thought was going to be a quick project until I noticed some metal shavings from the intake. Looks like someone had a bad day! A dropped valve cratered the piston. Luckily I have an almost complete parts bike to pick from. Gonna do a resto-mod type of...
So I have a brand new harness and regulator/ rectifier and agm battery. The battery is holding @ 12.5v while running. I ride it a bit getting around 6,000rpm and the lights dim, bike stutters and dies. I checked resistance at the alternator plug. field coils resistance is ~ 7ohms between the...
I picked up these shocks off 4int1.com for my 400f( http://4into1.com/aluminum-adjustable-remote-reservoir-shocks-honda-cb350-cb400f-cb450-cb500-cb550-cb750/)
But I can't for the life of me get them to depress very much. I let out the air in the reservoirs thinking that might soften it, still...
So I just got my Spark Moto wiring harness in and can't seem to get a spark. Everything reads 12v when checked but the start button does nothing. Also it doesn't spark after kick too. I'm using new plugs, 5.0ohm coils, and dynatek ignition. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks.
I'm having trouble deciding. Am I even gonna feel the difference as a new street rider? I really like the look of the RFY's but also appreciate the build quality and history of the Hagons. I'm short and light ( 5'6" 140lbs) and will mainly be taking the 30 mile commute to work, with some sporty...
