Yes, we checked that out and there is enough room. I agree it doesn't look that way though. We are rebuilding the shocks next and stiffer springs wouldn't be a good choice anyway.

. Not a bad idea -we need to take a look at that.

    CZ 175

I'll track down the photos of the bike as we got it and post them. One thing I never knew about CZ's till we got this one is that they have an automatic clutch after you pull away in first. There's a roller that disengages the clutch when you push/pull on the gear shift. It works great!

The oil container is actually a steel walnut oil can with the red bull can glued over it. We soldered in a brass tube fitting and gave it a bit of stability with JB weld. You can't really notice it on the bike.

This is my son's first Cafe project. I think it came out looking really good. It's not quite finished yet, some details still to be done (including the rear shocks). He was given the bike from a friend as a project. It was all original and hadn't run in probably 20 years. He stripped it down...

    Moto Guzzi V65Sp

Thanks guys. Yes the tank is a Monza tank. Looking at the specs on the two bikes I expected it to fit right on the v65 fram but it didn't, we had to modify the front mounts a littel. The side panels were T3's that were in really bad shape. We fixed them up made new mounts and came out pretty nice.

    Casey Stoner to retire....

A sad day for motogp when he leaves. He is incredible to watch ride a bike - an amazing talent we all probably wish we had. He's living our dreams or at least mine anyway! If motogp goes all out CRT it's going to become (yaaaawwwn) like world superbikes.

Motorcycle addiction. Does it ever end?

There's no cure for the addiction -but don't worry about it. I've had bikes for 37 years now and now own 10 of them. They're just like crisps (potatoe chips), one is never enough. I'm fortunate in that I have a wife the supports the mania. I never stop looking and searching.

Re: MOTO GUZZI V50 II Cafe Build **(MOTOR COMPLETE!)** I just found this thread - terrific stuff. I bought a triple clamp set up for my V65 from feebay a while ago so that I could cut the handlebar brackets off and still have my original if It didn't work out or I didn't like it. When it...

    MotoGuzzi 650 seat and tank

You'll see that we basically cut off the old bulb fittings, riveted the cover mounts, then cut the center section out. Then we drilled a hole and JB welded the LED in place. The LED was a really tight fit in the hole so with the JB weld it should be in there securely.
