74 CB360 Kick start thrust washer

Anybody know what the thickness is of the 12mm thrust washer (part 29)? I am having a tough time finding one, and might just get a local shop to make me one. Not 100% on what type of material I need to get it made in either. If anybody has one laying around...I would gladly take it off your hands.

74 CB360 - cam chain tensioner holder damper stripped

I have been slowly working through a complete engine rebuild on my 74 CB360. I was so close to being able to put the engine back on the bike, when a bolt stripped for the cam chain tensioner holder. There doesn't look like there is enough metal to tap it out from a 6 to an 8. And even tapping it...

Finally bought a timing gun...now if I could just figure out how to use it.

'74 Cb360 I was able to get my hands on a timing gun - but now I am not 100% sure I know what I am looking for. When I am setting the advance, do I need to leave it at 0.0 or change it to something else? And when I need to make adjustments to my timing, do I rotate my points plate?

    74' CB360 - LED flicker

I am running an LED headlight, LED tail/turn integrated strip, and four LED bulbs for my turn indicators, hi/lo, and neutral on my top clamp (from Cognito Moto). All the lights work fine when running them directly to the battery (Earthx12A). But as soon as I kick the bike over, the LEDs on my...

    1974 CB360 - first bike/build

Starting my build thread: Bought the bike 1 1/2 year ago - paid too much money - live and learn Knew I wouldn't start riding until finished with grad school (working all day & studying all night didn't sound like healthy riding conditions) Dumped way more money into the bike than expected -...

Bullet style headlight mount 74’ CB360

I am trying to mount a bullet style headlight, but none of the brackets I am finding are quite long enough. The bucket is pressing against my brake line, causing the bucket to not sit center between the forks. Is my only option a custom bracket? The bucket, front to back, is 5 1/4” deep...

Light Green/Pink & Green/Pink? They run into a little unit on my right-side coil.

    74 CB360 - parasitic drain

After riding, parking, and coming back to the bike at the end of my work day, I am finding a dead battery. Are there obvious places on a 360 that I could start looking for parasitic drain? I have made sure the battery is good (fully charged it, let it sit over night off the bike and voltage...

3D printing, kevlar & carbon fiber

I took a new job at a local community college, and they have a grant for community development...which was spent on a 3D printing/laser etching/CNC shop. They only charge for the materials used...which is amazing. And the shop is run by two drafting/design & machinist instructors, who really...

    Front wheel alignment?

I just replaced the fork seals on my 74 CB360, wasn't too bad of a job (thankfully). I was putting everything back together tonight, and noticed that my front wheel was a little out of alignment. I loosened forks a little and did my best to eyeball it. Is there a better way to make sure I am...

PPI for UNI foam - 74 CB360 stock air boxes

I finally found a pair of stock air boxes (with filters) for my 74 cb360. The paper is shot, so I was planning on cutting/fitting some UNI foam to them. Does anybody know of a particular PPI that works well? And if anybody knows a good way to seal the connection between the air box and battery...

    Air/Fuel mixture screw spring missing

Had an issue with my carbs not sucking fuel - pulled them off, did the whole boiling lemon juice thing. Fuel is flowing and the carbs are as clean as a whistle, but I must have forgotten to get the springs out of the a/f screw opening. When I look in there now...no spring. They must have come...

    Angle of master cylinder

I have been a cyclist for years, so riding in tucked position feels much more natural. My handlebars are angled to give me that same feel, but I know I am pushing the limit for the angle of my stock master cylinder (74 CB360). Can I just overfill my reservoir? Or do I need to start hunting for...

    wheel weights for tube tires?

I had some tires put on my wheels yesterday...had to pick them up after work (right before the shop shut down). When I got them out of my truck I saw the giant weights they put on my spoke to balance the wheel. Are these the only way to balance a wheel with tubes?

    CB360 knocking or just normal?

Any chance things sound as they should? Not quite sure what it is "supposed" to sound like: https://youtu.be/Msxzuo5JUGU And sorry for the muffle close-ups - I was just trying to get a recording of the exhaust note for my own records.

DCC seat that allows for stock wheel travel?

Does anyone know if any of the seats that DCC has on their site would allow me to keep the stock rear wheel hump (?) on my '74 360? My original plans were to create a brat - but I am beginning to pivot on the idea just because I don't want my rear wheel to come crashing into my backside.
