Hello everyone, I have a 1975 Honda CB250. I have never had this bike running but from looking at the engine I am sure it’s been thrashed out and I do not have the budget to rebuild it. Would it be possible if any other engine would slide straight into the frame? Newer preferably

how would a straight pipe go on this, a proper one that goes to the rear not a short one? i have the header pipes but but i don't have the actual mufflers and i don't wanna spend heaps on new ones

Cafe racer style, but i wanna give it an army green tank and rear hump and maybe keep a few little parts rusty and clear coat them, try and give it a dirty but fast look. Im gonna use a lighter wire wheel on the engine so it doesn't scratch the crap out of it.

If i pull throttle to fast it will try and bog down but i do it reasonable speed its okay and revs up good. The spark plug is black and i don't need choke to start the bike. will being too rich in mixture bog the bike? Im not sure what to do.

i know nothing about jetting, the carby is stock, I ended up adjusting the timing and its worked good since then.

I reset the gap and did the timing using the marks on the fly wheel and used a continuity tester. I have attached an image and this is the closet i can get it to the factory line. it does start first kick and idles really well and it starts on a hill really easy and doesn't sound like it wants...

i don't have a strobe light but i will do it the way the manual tells me too. i can have it on the factory line and after a few kicks and pops through the carb it will start but won't rev but if i advance it forward that cm it works perfect. Ill double check that i set the gap right. thank you...

thank you for all your replies, i put the bike back together today and cleaned the carbs. when i apple the throttle quickly it bogs down and starts spitting but if i apply the throttle slowly it revs up fine, what could be causing this?
