92 Nighthawk - First Time Bike Builder, Long Time Cyclist

New gauges/switches and some paint on the fresh welded areas. Hoping to get the gauge mounted lower at some point, but this will work temporarily. Sent from my iPhone using DO THE TON

EMGO Universal Handlebar Switches (US Version)

Another thank you! What did you use the pass wire for? On my 92 CB750, we don't have a button for that. Did you just wire it into your headlight somehow? Right now it does nothing, but would be nice for it to.

    Seat length for 2up riding?

I hope so, I was all over the internet! I thought about buying a cowl to install when riding solo, but a whole seat at that price was a no brainer! Sent from my iPhone using DO THE TON

    Seat length for 2up riding?

Figured I would follow up since I've looked online so much, this is the top post! After weeks of searching, measuring myself and my lady on the bike, It looks like 24.5" is the magic number that works. I settled on the 2 seat method; both from 4into1 as they are the same length and width, so...

I know these aren’t life changing mods, but we’re cool to me. New choke cable ran through the old bar mount area. Bought a older cb cable, cut the plastic nut and slid it back on. Cable is still a little long but works well. Version 1 of the gauges relocated slightly lower. Looking at...

    Seat length for 2up riding?

Looking down the road on when I get to make/fab up a seat for my bike. Looking to do a flat brat style seat. 95% of the time i will be riding solo so I was going to keep it short. But for the other 5%, I would be riding with me lady. We are both slender in shape (combined weight of like 260 lol)...

It is a vacuum one, didn't know I could run a standard non-vac style. I guess I was worried about it not fitting correctly. The one I purchased is a complete unit, so it should be a good test if its causing problems! The one on the bike currently is just on/off/reserve.

92 Nighthawk - First Time Bike Builder, Long Time Cyclist

Was posting in my member intro thread, but I guess I should move over here! I'll get caught up with the first post. Big time cyclist (road and mountain bike) and always thought it would be cool to throttle on some of these roads I live on, instead of pedal. I sold one of my bicycles I didn't...

    First Motorcycle - From Charlotte

Pardon my mess, but in the meantime, I'm looking at cleaning this up a tad. Thinking of going all black things. High/Low beam Switch - These look pretty rad, not sure where I would use them, or if I could use one for the headlight, and one on the right side somewhere...

Would a better option be to leave the fork at the same height, and put the clip ons under the triple clamp? Right now I just dropped the forks in the crown 2" to put the clip ons, on top. Not sure what is the better option! I put the seat back on and it feels relatively comfortable as is, in the...

Besides the fork and clip ons, I don't see changing tooooo much that would make the ride feel much different than stock, A lot of the other changes I want to do are mostly cosmetic (clutch/brake reservoirs, levers, etc. At least I know I can go back to stock with about 30 minutes of work...

Makes sense to me, it sounds like the CRG spectrum levers are a good starting point lever? Not looking for amazing stuff, just don't want to shatter under regular usage! Man, I think the safety course here is $200 or so! I'd like to spin around the neighborhood to make sure my bike works before...

And at some point after all that, I’ll dive into cutting the rear so i can put a two seater cafe style on. Looks like it will swoop up, which is kinda cool i guess?

Thanks for the love guys! I may have been quiet here, but busy on the bike. I rebuilt the carbs, threw in a new battery, and with some starter fluid, got it running and after some warming up and possibly passing some bad gas, she runs pretty good in the garage! Revs well enough, I think. Seems...
