Sorry I'm still not getting the reply notification :-[ so only check back every couple of days. I don't have a spare housing, these bikes are not common in Australia so any parts available are generally kept. The spares i have generally come from the U.S and that is how i got the spare housing...

If there is excess fuel that causes a secondary explosion (rare) then the engine would be flooded to the point of not running, so you would need to tune the carbs etc. All modern engines run a wasted spark to do exactly that, burn off any excessive fuel to reduce the emission.

Nope, carbs and jetting are sorted just need to do final balance and dyno tune. It's the bloody electrics that has been giving me grief >:( first off, one of the aftermarket coils died, spiking the dyna ignition and frying one of the hall sensors >:( so new coil $ and fit the spare ignition...
