I think it’s for chain guard clearance. You can see the diagram quotes an extra washer on the other side to space it out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    suzuki fa50 not running questions

Hey mate, Is it electronic ignition or points? I timed a electronic Vape system up a little while and took some photos on how it did it. Set up a timing gauge, find TDC and zero out. Find a spec to work off, if you can’t find one find a similar engine spec and you’ll have to fine tune...

    1974 TS250 / 400 Project

Thanks mate [emoji4] Can never go wrong with a Metralla tank haha, such a cool bike. First production 250cc to have a top speed of 100MPH. Such a fun bike to ride too, shifter is on the right side and has a reverse shift pattern. Left hand kick, so don’t stall in traffic [emoji1787]

    1974 TS250 / 400 Project

Updates will be slow for a while as I’ve got to move house. A few pictures of the 400 motor, working out rear sprocket alignment, mounting/reinforcement brackets and a few other clearance points. A few pictures of the wheels. Hubs where done in a cerakote gloss black with clear coat...

    1974 TS250 / 400 Project

The 400 motor took 3 days, fire and shit loads of rost off to split the cases. The engine cases came up alright, has some internal damage I’ll need to address though. Blown out crankcase around the crank, which will need welding up and the shift shaft bore is cracked which is a pain in the...

    1974 TS250 / 400 Project

Couple photos of the tank and frame after blasting also just checking the 250 motor for fitment. I removed all the stock tabs and brackets from the frame and primed the frame in a welding primer as I’ll weld everything on I need. Once it’s all finished and I’m happy, I’ll pull it down and...

    1974 TS250 / 400 Project

Hey guys, Thought I would start a build thread for one of my personal projects. Frame is a 1974 TS250, which someone had already cut up to turn into a cafe racer. Got the original 250 motor and managed to source a 1973 TS400 motor that was very beaten up which suited cutting up and...

Yeah that’s Burt flood’s 360 LSR. It’s a Model 18 El Bandido motor. Everything else on the bike is pretty much unique. I didn’t get much time to play with the bike, at some point it’ll come back to the shop, I’ll change the crankcase seals and get it fired up. It was April 1976, the prime...

Thanks for the kind words haha! Here’s something I’ve been working on recently. It’s a Bultaco Mercurio Model 22 155cc, a few more parts to go and she’s done. I’m actually building three of these at the moment, one for a museum, another as a fully restored rider (electronic ignition, 12v...

Thanks mate, where abouts in aus are you? Definitely a joy most days, I love the older stuff. I try to avoid anything modern, nothings designed to be repaired or overhauled, just replaced. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello everyone, I have been lurking for a while and figured I would sign up. I’m a mechanic at a restoration shop in Newcastle, Australia. I’ve been fortunate enough to build and play around with some cool bikes over the years. I’ve attached a few photos from my phone of bikes I’ve built or...
