    Late 60's CB160?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a copy of a manual for a 68' CB160. I found one on the internets a while back, but the pics in the manual are so dark, its hard to decipher. Anyone out there have a good electronic copy? Thanks!

    1968 cb160

Sent a bunch of parts off with a friend last weekend, who has a parts cleaner, and a media blaster that shoots walnuts... He graciously offered to clean whatever parts I need. Now, we wait! Hope you enjoy the start to our project!

Then we built a table, and got organized. Once we got the pistons free, we pulled them out and noticed one of them was totally blown out at the bottom, hence the sticking when they went up into the cylinder...

    1968 cb160

Starting a build thread of the CB160 my youngest and I are restoring. It was given to me by a friend who was sick of it sitting in his garage, so the price was right! And its a stylish little bike, wish I had 10 of them!

My 79 Puch Maxi. Got it from a friends back yard after it had sat for about 15 years. It was my first project, goes about 50mph now! I'm actually looking to sell it to finance another project, if anyone is interested! $800, and if you know how to wire a Tomos, the price goes down considerably!

    Froze Pistons

Got the motor apart last weekend, one of the pistons was blown out on the bottom side, literally cracked and Convexed, (hence the sticking as the piston went up into the cylinder)! A friend of mine who is an airplane mechanic picked up a batch of parts to run through their parts cleaner for me...

    Froze Pistons

All good suggestions! I ordered some of that Tuner Spray, and will try taking out/cleaning the pistons first (I like the idea of only needing new rings if possible), since i'm poor... Thanks again!

    Froze Pistons

So I got the pistons free. Next question is "what now?" The pistons will go down all the way, but when going upward, they get tight, and stop again. Is there a product I can put down into the cylinder to clean out all of the carbon build up? I'm assuming that is the issue when the pistons...

    Froze Pistons

I have taken off the left side case, and was going to pull the chain out that way, but the master link on the smaller chain is connected to the "back side" of the chain, and there isnt enough room to pull the link out towards the case. So you guys are saying if I do get the smaller chain off, I...

    Froze Pistons

So I'm working on restoring a 68' CB160 with my kids, and have a couple of quesitons. The pistons are frozen. I have tried the PB Blaster-rocking-it-back-and-forth thing, and haven't had any success, so we've decided to crack the case open and try and tap the pistons free. The issue we're...
