    RD motor into a CB

The CB frames are crap ;D but can they handle twice the power and not die? Thats the question and probably a question that cant be answered.......since no one has probably wasted their time on such a swap. 8)

    RD motor into a CB

Considering swapping an RD250 engine into my CB200. As far as mounts go, no problem. Ive done many car motor swaps in the past and am comfortable fabbing new mounts. With this bike, the mounts will be the easy part. The only other concerns are chainline and the frame. Not too worried about the...

Higher flowing air filters, more fuel?

No, no and no. ;D Thanks. That would be the best option I think. Maybe someone will chime in here that did this. Unlikely, I know.

Higher flowing air filters, more fuel?

Thanks for the information. So what would be the best way to increase fueling to match the new flow of air?

Higher flowing air filters, more fuel?

Im not sure on the CV question. I suppose the answer to that affects your answer on how to increase fueling? It has the stock Keihin carbs which I believe someone said are CV.

Higher flowing air filters, more fuel?

So on my CB200 Ive finally decided to replace the air filters. The ones on it are the dead old paper ones. Ive read how to get rid of those and how to add the UNI filter material in place of the paper. I hear that Ill most likely need more fuel to match the higher air flow. As a carb noob, what...

    Honda CB gauge lighting

The speedo on my Cb200 has its light out. I cant see a good way of opening this up and dont wanna destroy it. Any how-tos on getting these open to check the bulb? Bulbs hard to find? Thanks

    Air Filter Material?

Since they no longer make the air filters for CB200s, I have to make my own with the OEM housings I have. Can anyone suggest the best and cheaper place to score the filter material? My local shop doesnt have any. I can try some other shops around tomorrow but most of them are worse than that...

Tips on chasing a short to ground?

Thanks. I had suspected my stater button too. I taped up the solder job as it was critically close to the housing. Thought that might have been it but popped another fuse today. :'( I may just unplug my starter for a day and see if that keeps the fuse from popping. Thanks for the input. ;)

Tips on chasing a short to ground?

Ive considered that. The bars are thick painted black so I felt it probably wasnt the source. Regardless, I have no choice but to try every possibility at this point. :P So will check out the controls. But yeah, I am beginning to think the short could be inside something. Like maybe the...

Tips on chasing a short to ground?

Anyone have any suggestions? Ive done all I can think of. Ive idled the motor in the garage trying to make it short by shaking the bike, jumping up and down on it :) , knocking and shaking every component, moving all wiring around by hand....nothing makes it short out except that it randomly...
