The CB frames are crap ;D but can they handle twice the power and not die?
Thats the question and probably a question that cant be answered.......since no one has probably wasted their time on such a swap. 8)
Considering swapping an RD250 engine into my CB200.
As far as mounts go, no problem. Ive done many car motor swaps in the past and am comfortable fabbing new mounts. With this bike, the mounts will be the easy part.
The only other concerns are chainline and the frame.
Not too worried about the...
Im not sure on the CV question.
I suppose the answer to that affects your answer on how to increase fueling?
It has the stock Keihin carbs which I believe someone said are CV.
So on my CB200 Ive finally decided to replace the air filters. The ones on it are the dead old paper ones. Ive read how to get rid of those and how to add the UNI filter material in place of the paper.

Thanks

I may just unplug my starter for a day and see if that keeps the fuse from popping.
Thanks for the input. ;)
Ive considered that.
The bars are thick painted black so I felt it probably wasnt the source.
Regardless, I have no choice but to try every possibility at this point. :P So will check out the controls.
But yeah, I am beginning to think the short could be inside something. Like maybe the...
Anyone have any suggestions?
Ive done all I can think of. Ive idled the motor in the garage trying to make it short by shaking the bike, jumping up and down on it :) , knocking and shaking every component, moving all wiring around by hand....nothing makes it short out except that it randomly...
