Sure, when I got it. And a few weeks ago after years of riding :) The paint was just heatproof acrylic lacquer silver, the rocker covers aren;t heat proof, I did those a year ago with a non heat proof paint as a test and it's held up just fine. Cheers Steve

Trimmed the top f the seat with some high density 12mm foam, now I just need to get the sander out and smooth the edges over to a curve and then it is ready to trim. Cheers Steve

Forks freshened up, the ribs on the lower section will be stripped back and polished. There is some pitting on the uppers, on the area not covered by the boots, so I will vinyl wrap them once they are on the bike, probably in a black. Cheers Steve

They are Michelin Sirac, I grabbed them because I got a great deal on them, normally they are not the cheapest but they are supposed to be a good tyre. Cheers Steve

Since the rear tyre should show tomorrow I thought I'd paint the spare rim, since this is a very budget build I decided it didn't warrant pulling it all apart and powder-coating so I went with some epoxy etch primer and epoxy black paint. Should suit the overall colour scheme. Cheers Steve

Old fuel tank on, as it had some fuel in it still. A little tweak of the VM34 and it starts and runs like a champ :) Had my safety uggs on as well. Now to sort some cables so I can take it for a spin. Sounds like rubbish though since half the exhaust gases are coming out around the header ;)...

Got the battery today (Sealed GEL 12V 4AH), nice and small and there are plenty of options to tuck it away, the pics are just to show the size. I also stripped the seat down and I must say I like plastic seat pans :) Should be able to use it for the new seat and the look I'm after...

Front end is coming along in mockup form. New bars are on, 12v headlight (smaller than stock) mounted, digital dash on but needs a bracket made to mount it lower in front of the ignition switch. I'm keeping the switch where it is as I want to keep the steering lock. Also test fitted the guard...

Carb was a spare for my CX so it's jetted for that at the moment, I wont bother re-jetting until I have the bike a fair bit further along and then I'll swap out the slide for a 2.5 and do a few runs and go from there. I'll grab some more pics on the weekend as I've now done a few more bits and...
