Those turned out really nice. The bevels definitely enhance the look and add to the beefiness.

I'd say leave them big but put some nice big fillets on the areas that aren't structural to give it a nice flowing and strong look, especially if you are planning on running the stock curvy tank.

i think your best bet is to find a wiring diagram online, im sure there is one floating around here the item you wear point to looks like the rectifier but i cant say for certain if you did accidentally hook a negative to the positive terminal it is possible that you screwed up your rectifier...
