Powder coat or polish CB450 Build!

I like the idea of these choke cables, my CL450 just has the little lever on the one carb that has the thin metal flimsy part that reaches over to the other carb and gets all messed up in my fuel lines. Where will this cable end up and is there a factory location on the carb that it just screws...

    Supermoto Wheels/Brakes on Cafe??

Has anyone ever heard of putting supermoto wheels and brakes on a cafe bike? I was liking the idea of upgrading from drum brakes to disks, along with putting more modern rubber on my project CL450 and one of my friends suggested this. Any reason why this wouldn't work?

    My lil' cb350

To smooth out the welds did you grind them down and fill the low spots with bondo?

(Not really) The slowest project ever - CM400T

Re: Slowest project ever - CM400T - NEED OPINIONS (bottom of p1) I like the seat you made with the current tank. If anything, I'd a little more foam to the front side of the seat near the tank so it can blend alittle bit more into the tank, but really like the look with the tank and the tail...

    Newbie from Chicagoland

I've already collected a bunch of pictures with different ideas so hopefully I can piece together what I like and come up with something that's fun to ride. I'm actually just west of the city, in Forest Park. 10 min drive from where I live to the Loop so it's not too bad. Suburban home life...

    Newbie from Chicagoland

Well it looks like I've forgotten to do a Newbie thread so here it goes... My name's Adam, I'm from the Chicago area. I ride an 06 1000RR as my daily driver and just picked up a '72 CL450 as my first "old school" bike. As some have you seen me post, I'm still working on getting my 450 started...

    Wiring help - '72 CL 450

Well I tested the coil and condenser in accordance with one of my manuals (Clymer I believe) and I think I narrowed down the problem. The coil tested out fine, but when I tested the condenser it came back that it was shorted. Looks like that's the culprit for the no-start issue (at least for...

cb450 rearsets done on the cheap!

What's the harm in attaching them with flat metal and bending the bracket slightly to whatever angle you want it to be? It's only stamped metal, nothing welded. If they aren't exactly true with the angle of the frame, a little mechanical convincing should get them a lot closer!

cb450 rearsets done on the cheap!

I'm at work and my bike's in my friends garage and won't see it for a few days yet, that's why I was looking to see if anyone could help me out.

cb450 rearsets done on the cheap!

Bump this - anyone got an idea of dimensions? Or is anyone home today not doing anything and want to get a ballpark measurement for what these plates would need to be? Thanks!

    Wiring help - '72 CL 450

I'm kinda new around here but I'm working on a 1972 CL450 that's been sitting for about 2 years. Clean carbs, clean tank, new battery, fresh oil - for the most part, I think all the basics are there. I hooked up the battery last night, the headlight and front signals are working just fine(rear...

    How to? Ignition Bypass CL450

I'm flattered that you'd call my bike an Enzo, but I don't think it would be that big of a problem :) It's not the safest way of doing things, but if it's a well placed switch, no one would know where it is or even what it does. I see your point though, thanks for the suggestion.

"Do the Ton" rear sets - Lets do them cheap - No takers???

I think an idea of production numbers would be based on how many will purchase them right away which I would think would be depended upon price per set and the prototype functionality. I have no idea about material cost so does anyone have a clue how much a "ballpark" final price might be?
