Wasn't sure where to ask this, so I recon here is as good as any... Any of you metal people know what the lower tree on the cb750 is? It sure looks like cast, but can't be as it is welded to the stem. I need to weld a plate to it but not sure what rod to use.

On a 1973 CB750, I'm using dual disk brake rotors on the front. I have painted the hub, and both disks... I'm thinking that I should sand ALL of the paint from the mating surfaces??? Yes / No???

Wondering if there is anyone near Pittsburgh riding on the weekends? I live between Pittsburgh and Washington, work second shift, so weekends, when I'm not doing honeydo's, like to ride... I usually head down Rt18 or Rt19, or RT50 for aways to get away from the city...
