I picked up back in Aug '10 cheap. Previous (2nd) owner didn't have it long but really screwed up the carbs - I was able to get it running right w/o too many issues. Ratty seat, dented tank, cracked plastics and faded/peeling decals. The lower fairing was busted into 3pcs and couldn't be...
If you haven't heard, there is a good chance this may happen. Helmet-less riders must at least 21, pass MSF, be endorsed and have at least 2 years of riding experience. Curious about enforcement (unless obviously caught).
Not a fan and would never ride helmet-less, but understand the...
Frankly I don't think that THE MAN would ever wear this stuff, but there is a link to a good gallery of pics (none m/c though) ...

My recently purchased '85 Kawasaki ZX900 wasn't running right ... mainly because the PO did a lousy carb rebuild. He left out the needle jets in carbs #1 and #4 - without them copious amounts of fuel dump into the cylinders and wash out the spark!
Does anyone have any Keihin CV or CVK carbs or...
Geeze I definitely have MBD ...
I just picked up a cheap 95% there '79 Honda XL185 (dual sport) to putter around on while I work-on/finish my cafe projects. Just under 2k miles and dirty - some rash so I won't care if I drop it while being a newb. Currently freshening up and installing...
Again, don't know how many of you are on their e-mail list ... I have no affiliation, just want a cool place to survive!
"If you are able please join us this Saturday Dec 12 for our 1st annual Holiday party. Festivities begin at 12 noon and continue on till 10pm, please visit our website at...
Don't know if anyone else is on their e-list ...
2010 Cafe Racer pinup calendar debut party is this Fri (11/13) 7:30P-2A in Depot Town at Frenchie's Bar (next to Sidetracks).
The rockabilly calendar girls will be there to sign purchased calendars.
My XV750 would be easier to bobber than to cafe - not sure I'm a fan though. Still might consider it ...
If I did, this guys came out nice ... says he spent a total of $450 including the bike purchase!
He's somewhat local to me too.
1972 Suzuki T500 Titan - 500cc two-stroke twin.
Not even halfway done on my cafe XV750 and I buy another bike! This was a craigslist deal that was too good to pass up. Rough and ratty, but salvageable. Previous owner had rebuild the engine and says it ran great and is quick. Very stiff...
I 'inherited' a 1982 Yamaha Virago XV750 from my Dad - he just lost interest in it and decided he didn't want it anymore and didn't want to go thru the hastle of selling it. In the 10 years he owned it, he only put 700 miles on it ... so it sat a lot. I'm not much into the cruiser style so I...
Hi ... great site!
I'm in the process of changing over a '82 Yamaha XV750 I just 'inherited' from my Dad - he lost interest in it. Sat for awhile so cleaning out the fluids and getting it running again with some simple cafe-style mods. Hope to be riding it for a couple months before winter...
