I need to buy a shed to use as a workshop.

This is a storage shed I built for one of my rentals. You can see the 4x4s under it in this pic. It's only 8' wide so I only used three. Any wider and it would need at least four. The door's a Menards $150 roll-up. Buildings should have overhangs. That's another thing that rots cheap...

Any tips on getting old bar ends removed.. babies aren't letting loose

Sometimes the most obvious things escape me... So you've already tried turning the whole bar end right? Like with a pair of Channellocks.

Any tips on getting old bar ends removed.. babies aren't letting loose

I'm enough of an old grumpy fucker to think that tearing apart a survivor like your bike is wrong. That being said... They're corroded due to dissimilar metal contact. Either; A. heat the bolts, yes you'll probably melt the grips. or B. drill the bolt heads off so the weights themselves...

I need to buy a shed to use as a workshop.

See the crane in the background? That's me operating it(figuratively). In a past life one of the things we did was transport and set shipping containers. It's expensive. There are places they make sense, your backyard is probably not one of them.

I need to buy a shed to use as a workshop.

Um yea, don't be that guy. Are you aware of the Garage Journal? Plent o' shed builds in the forums. Around here we always build them on skids(4x4s). I see some on GJ with with floor systems like TonUp suggested, not sure if it's a regional thing or what. Check your ordinances, where I'm...

I need to buy a shed to use as a workshop.

What he said, many of the home improvement store sheds are junk. The one you posted the pic of is sitting on the ground. It will be rotten in a year or two. You want one sitting on treated 4x4s to get the floor off the ground. I'd want a plank floor vs. OSB for strength using it as a shop...

    Bike stand.....

That's why I'm saying get a chock you can also put the rear wheel in to work on the front. I have the Craftsman version of that jack Johnyeatsgood posted. It's super handy for tire swaps and whatnot, not so much as a general work stand. You're going to find there's no one perfect setup for...

    Bike stand.....

Scissor jack out of an old Caravan. Wood top for no-mar surface, in this pic a couple delrin blocks added to clear cooler lines. All my bikes it will lift either wheel depending on where you place it on the frame. Yes, it still needs tie downs to hold the bike upright. Get a chock that you...

Abandoned title etc. Has anybody ever had any luck with this?

Iowa's easy, the proccess is detailed on the IDOT site. I've done half a dozen bikes. Make friend with a local LEO, have him run the VIN before you submit anything. Anything bad should be in the nationwide database. The DOT lady that normally comes to inspect my bikes tells me they do...

    I HATE lawyers.

I sorta like my lawyer, actually paid him a small bill today. At first he made me nervous, thought he was dense. Then I came to realize he's a young dude and needs to think before he speaks. We should all do more of that. Actually I've only had one "bad" lawyer experience, cost me a few...

    Heavy Equipment Operators?

I'm a few days from being a retired crane operator. Yea, it pays. When things go right it's not even like work, playing trucks in real life. Just remember you're responsible for the safety of everyone on site. When shit goes down, you're it.

    Seat loops new pics/spiel

Made my narrowing/widening jig today. Not really a jig per se just something to measure from. Little tutorial; OSB is just for a uniform surface, two pieces of angle, all they have to be is straight and square to one another It also lets you find things like this. This leg's 1/32"...

    Seat loops new pics/spiel

Seat loops; Bent several the other day 1" OD x 14 ga(.083) 12" legs, seemed like that's what everyone wanted 7 1/8" - 7 1/4" outside to outside, realize 1" is pretty easy to spread and you can go a ways before it makes the bend look goofy My bender die is a fixed radius...

    GT380/550/750 dual disc parts

For Sale: parts to convert GT 380/550 to dual disk. GT 750 master cylinder needs rebuilt, lines/junction block and whatnot, I'd go braided but whatever left side caliper mount-the calipers are the same side to side it's the mount that's different, 3, or most of 3, calipers I should...
