    CB200 resurrection and caffeination

Finally! I've managed to get hold of a set of forks that can be used. They're not the prettiest between the yokes but the slidey bit is smooth and usable. Best of all, they were dirt cheap. I've also been looking at tanks again. I'm wondering if a Skytrain 'Dream style' tank would look too small?

    CB200 resurrection and caffeination

And that was as far as the rebuild went. - The Ducati was stripped and crated, many parts bought, also crated. - Bought a ridiculously over-the-top ute to carry all my parts around in but never put anything in the back. - The scooter was resurrected. Nothing like the stink of two-stroke in the...

Nice job! Where did you get the ceramic coating done?

    '71 CB175 - Cafe Project

I've seen dings and scratches put into slides by rough mechanics using long screwdrivers as levers to loosen up sticky carb components.

I give up. No sooner had I looked into the crate, the 900SS blew its front head off. Again, an excuse to spend way too many monies on a Ducati and 'Julia' stays in the crate. Once the 900 has been fixed and painted I'll have another look at the ginger bitch. Maybe.

    CB200 'project 354

This is the way. Slowly and carefully heading toward a proper build. I can't wait to see it finished.

    '75 CB200T ....NOW actually running

Re: '75 CB200T Let's build it! CB200's for the win! Looking forward to seeing how this one goes. If only I could lay my hands on exhausts like yours in Australia!

    CB200 'project 354

I have a pdf of the workshop manual if that's any help? My bottom end looked good so I only got as far as cleaning the filter before putting the top end back on. This is a great build thread and puts mine to shame. This bike is half the reason I'm looking at mine again. I'm also N.O.R. if you...

    CB200 resurrection and caffeination

Never was a truer word spoken. We got busy at work, a couple of home projects got in the way and this pile of parts was dumped into a crate, placed on a pallet and stored in the very top corner of the pallet racking. Not before the top end was overhauled though: New pistons, rings, and a top...

    68 CL175 Project Vicarious

Re: 68 CL175 Project Vicarious - Smokin! This little bike looks so nicely put together. There's definitely a few ideas in there worth stealing. I bet more than a few here will have a look at converting to pull starts?

    CB200 resurrection and caffeination

The forks have arrived. There are a few issues but nothing that can't be worked around: The chrome is chipped between the triples but the sliding part appears in very good condition. Some should be hidden by the headlight mount and the rest when the slider is shortened. The TS185 forks don't...

    CB200 resurrection and caffeination

An update at last: The replacement forks I had ordered went missing in the mail so I’ve ordered some more. This time they’re from a CM185 and should fit with a little massaging. It’s surprisingly difficult to source good second-hand units in Oz but if you look long enough, you’ll find...

    CB200 resurrection and caffeination

The best lead I ever got and I use it all the time, thanks. Sadly, the site only cross references the actual part number. The thing I have noticed is the interchangeability of parts that have different numbers. For example, the centre to centre measurement of the drum and disk forks are...

73 CB200 straight up Cafe racer!! Thanks to all for the kind words!!

Re: 73 CB200 straight up Cafe racer!! "Smokey"??!! Wheels look sexy when they're all shiny. This build should look real good when it's all back together.

    CB200 resurrection and caffeination

Time for another update: The forks still haven't arrived (I may have to buy some more) and I've been busy at work so this project is moving really slow. It's not really a big deal as I'm hardly using motorised two wheelers at the moment while I try to lower my blood pressure with the deadly...

    Honda small cc's (100-200) collections

I wonder how many of the builds listed here will be completed because of this list? I know it's a motivator in my case as I could have easily forgotten the parts in the shed and nobody would have noticed as the build thread disappeared further into the archives. Curse you, Big R! Do you...

    CB200 resurrection and caffeination

Oops, I forgot the steering stops but as the yolks and head bearings have the same part number, I can safely say the CB200 forkset will definitely fit the 175K7. The bottom yolk and head bearings of the earlier 175's are also the same as the CB200 but the top yolk will need replacing as it has...

Why not? I have perfectly good suspension at my elbows. And if you ask my wife, my rear suspension is also quite adequate.
