1975 Suzuki T500 IT IS ALIVE! First start video 5/7/11

It was certainly an issue, but one that got better as you get used to it. I used a bolt to fashion a longer toe peg on the shifter so I could get my toe under it more easily. I recently sold this bike and the new owner mentioned possibly taking that a step farther, possibly with some sort of...

Excellent point and one I'd forgotten. My bike came with the 97.5 jets stock.

    My T500...nearly finished!

My T500...nearly finished! I doubt it. I haven't measured, but I don't think the stock spokes would work.

    Yet another crusty T500...

I'd say you either ordered or were sent the wrong kit, the long shaft kit is for the GT500 with PEI based stock ignition. Look here: http://www.powerdynamo.biz/eng/systems/7261/7261confu.htm

1975 Suzuki T500 IT IS ALIVE! First start video 5/7/11

Are you certain you ordered the correct kit from Powerdynamo? There are two types, one for bikes that had points stock (short shaft) and another for the later 500's with the PEI based stock ignition (long shaft). Look here: http://www.powerdynamo.biz/eng/systems/7261/7261confu.htm My bike...

1975 Suzuki T500 IT IS ALIVE! First start video 5/7/11

I know...too many hobbies, too little time. I also have a nasty habit of loosing interest in a project once it's finished and I go on to the next thing.

1975 Suzuki T500 IT IS ALIVE! First start video 5/7/11

I was able to use the stock throttle and clutch cables just by creatively routing them under the tank to take up the extra slack. I shortened the front brake cables. Bleeding the oil system is easy and spelled out in the manual. I pumped the lines full of oil with a hand pump prior to...

1975 Suzuki T500 IT IS ALIVE! First start video 5/7/11

Lots of sandpaper and elbow grease, then a small harbor freight polisher. Here's a pretty good tutorial: http://www.dimecitycycles.com/blog/cat/tech/post/aluminumpolishing101/ BTW, it's tempting to skimp on the sanding and go straight to the buffer. Don't. All you'll do is waste time and...

Looks good. My parents are big Hyundai fans. They're on their third Sonata in a row with no major issues.

Thanks guys. The Coyote is pretty incredible. Oh how far things have come. My last Mustang was a '96GT that I bought new when I graduated from college. I thought it was pretty fast then...it had just over half the Hp of the new 5.0. :)

Little Red - '72 Suzuki T500 - New oil tank

Re: Little Red - '72 Suzuki T500 - Hinges Nice work on the hinged access. I see you're mounting the regulator in the coil location, where is the coil going to go?
