Crappy phone-camera pics from Jan 2008 Bike Show Toronto

The Indian is a board track race bike. The handle bars would be the 1918 equivalent of clip on bars. These bikes had no clutches, no brakes and hit speeds of over 100mph on wooden tracks made of sideways 2x4's. The bikes were towed behind another bike to get them going. The races were...

O'k... here are some H2 pics

Do what I did...get a new wife who is more sympathetic to the cause. She has more bikes than I do now. Of course, you may like your current wife, in which case this plan will not work.

    Supershow - Jan 4,5,6 - Who's going?

I like the picture of the Vincent on the bench the best...........lol. Top 3 questions I was asked about this bike during the show 1. Why does it have 2 sprockets? (different gear ratio...used for side car hauling....wheel is reversable) 2. How much is it worth? (make me an offer) 3. Where...

I am looking for a used bikini fairing for my '99 Monster...genuine Ducati...not aftermarket. I believe they were all the same up until '00 model year. Prefer red but I am not picky...I can always get it painted.

So who's going to the Toronto Motorcycle Show? Dec 7-9

Hmmmm.....sounds like no display at this January Show. Shame. Ok my opionion...the traditional cafe racer was British (Gold Stars, Tritons, Dunstall Nortons) made until the early '70's...the stuff you would have found at the Ace in London. The image everyone thinks of when you say cafe racer...

So who's going to the Toronto Motorcycle Show? Dec 7-9

Dougie (CVMG VP and booth organizer) put the oil pans under all the Brit Iron as a gag more or less. I had the pleasure of returning the Z1 back to Uxbridge last night. It's all orignial, very clean and he rides it too! Sorry I missed all you guys. I pulled the graveyard shift Saturday...

So who's going to the Toronto Motorcycle Show? Dec 7-9

This Vincent Black Shadow and the Triumph Bonneville are mine. Common theme with the Brit bikes?? Right hand shifters (with the exception of the '75 Commando that had a US government mandated left shift). The handlebar controls are the same as any other bike. The Indian on the other hand...

Registering a bike that you do not have the ownership papers for in Ontario

A Year of Manufacture plate (YOM) is the plate that Ontario issued the year your motorcycle (or car) was made. In the old days you got a brand new license plate every year you renewed your license. They switched to issuing just stickers (you kept the same plate) in 1973 for cars and 1981 for...

So who's going to the Toronto Motorcycle Show? Dec 7-9

Contact Bar Hodgson at bar@supershowevents.com. Tell him about the club and what you want to display. You would be a good fit for hall 4A with all us other vintage types.

So who's going to the Toronto Motorcycle Show? Dec 7-9

Why not get a booth at the SuperShow in January? Clubs receive free booths. The January Show is more for clubs and riding. The December show is put on by the bike manufacturers (MMIC) and is geared towards new stuff. I am only going to the Dec show because the CVMG wanted two of my bikes...

Registering a bike that you do not have the ownership papers for in Ontario

Re: Year of Manufacture Plates I think in Ontario, plates where issued every year until 1980 (1973 for cars). After that they went to the sticker system. Up until 1965-ish Ontario required 3 plates fixed to motorcycles...one on the rear two on the front fender. You only need one for YOM...
