    Well... I can say that it's a lot of fun to ride! And people likes the sound too. Thr use those piston kit in racing and guess what... They are pretty fast... Faster than any other stock 450.

    Yeah that's what I meant. Cv carbs slide are not moved by the cable so usually they are not stuck. Since the op put them into pieces I tought he already test the carb for full working.

    Cb500t are CV carb so no slide. Of course you need to check the throttle cable and the fuel line for pinch.

    Usually it's cause by dirty jets. But! If they are not sync for sure it can cause problem. Bench sync then at least and try it again. Are you sure that fuel line is not kinked?

    Ok of course everything is removed but I've done many of those and I haven't removed the the butterfly shaft. I'm not using any dangerous solvent that can harm the rubber seal. But if a rebuild kit is bought then for sure I remove all the component to rebuild those.
