It’s been some time, but I finally finished my project, I’ve decided to just tool around on some property I have, so no road use. It was a lot of fun to build, and I made it super simple.
I’ve been collecting parts and in general, just having fun building this bike. Lots of changes made along the way, but I really like the way it’s turning out.
Looking for parts for a CL 200 build. Please let me know what you have.
Things I’m looking for: front wheel, intakes, clutch and throttle cables, headlight, seat, tank, fenders.
I’ve enjoyed reading your build, and also seeing what you have done/are doing gives me inspiration for my bike. One thing I’m looking into now is tires. Could you tell me the brand of tire you are using, the sizes and where you found them. Thanks in advance
The shop is done!
Need to let the floors clear coat fully cure over the weekend, and then I get to move everything back in on Monday. Because of the work on the shop, I haven’t had much time to dedicate to the bike this week, but I did have time to clean a few things and bolt them in place...
Having some fun tonight! New starter installed, tune up, new muffler, new petcock and new battery. This thing is a beast. With like 600 forward gear choices and four-wheel-drive, I literally think this thing can crawl up the side of a building.
Jeez!! You always do amazing stuff. Glad to see you are back. (I also took some time off and am now back with another project.) I’ll impatiently be waiting for updates.
I've been out of the scene for a couple of years, and decided one day that I really need to build another bike. I really thought that I was going to take my time, build something perfect, and dump a ton of money into it. But then I started looking at the incomplete CL200 I purchased (thanks...
Redbird- A cold air package? Are you talking about like the one sold by SLP? I'd like to do the exhaust, but honestly, they command a lot of money for a good system. If I swap gears and do a tune, I think I should be happy. I'll start with that first ;)
Thanks everyone for your posts. I've decided to put the bike in hibernation for the next 10 years. Till then, I'll collect some parts to rebuild/restore it when I semi-retire. Thanks again :)
