new member, Moto Guzzi V50 build

Hi super8 I just followed your link from XJ Bikes. That tank in the last picture should be displayed like a piece of art. With the patina (rust ;) ) those old stickers and shape to me at least make it look like something hung up on display. Just my opinion and you know what people say about those.

    Our New Patches!!

WOW! Resurecting a 4 yr old post, I think this must be a record. I've seen a couple that had been brought back after a couple of years, but this is different. Was surprised to still get an email notification.

braided brake line source.... anyone know of a good place?

If you're still looking, contact Raymond at this email address. raymond@rennsportautoparts.com Tell him the make and model and he'll fix you up at a good price. I got a set for my Maxim-X from him and they are nice. Oh yeh, they are right in Scarborough too! Good luck.

    Inside Motorcycle deal

Sure Tim, go for it. Even though I don't post on here as much as I used to, like when there were a lot fewer members, me, Loco, you, XS650 et al. I still consider you all my "Friends and Family". Hey, their words, not mine! Spread the word and get the deal. I'm sure I.M. won't mind. In case they...

    Inside Motorcycle deal

Hey guys and gals, been a while since my last post but thought this might be of interest to a lot of you. Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this in, but here goes. I just received my latest magazine from the VRRA and on the back page was an offer so good I had to share it with you...

Slip on mufflers keep vibrating off of my cb350.

If you can weld then this may help, I found an illustration for an exhaust system that combines springs to help keep the pieces together. I had this type of set up on my CB 350 race bike. Just get a piece of coat hanger wire, make a couple of hooks then weld one to your header and one on the can...

    DICK eBay seller - vintagecyclebits

I guess the cost of shipping and handling can vary by a large amount depending on the seller. A couple of weeks ago I bought a radiator for my 85 Maxim-X. As far as parts go it's much bigger than a clutch lever and I was only charged $27.75 USPS. The rad was from a seller in Portland Oregon...

    Racing

Hey Rat If you want the biggest bang for your buck go Vintage racing. Don't even think of building your own, just check out websites like the VRRA, Wera etc. You can pick up a bike that you can go out and race for a small fraction of what it would cost to build. You also have to take into...

    All your electrical needs

Hey DTT's I was lurking on another forum and found a link to this site for electrical stuff. I have not dealt with them so I can't say they are good or bad. The range of things they offer though just from a quick look around seem to be just what some people doing their own builds might be...

    Bikebandit BS

I can understand why you gave BB a bad rep, but why not give the name of the company that did good by you. That'd be useful to somebody.

When I used to race :(

Here's a couple sets from when I used to race with the VRRA. They were up in North Bay at the Runway Romp. It's the last event of the season and the "North Bay Crew" rent out a portion of an airfield just like they did after WW2 ended. It's bumpy and gritty and in poor condition in general, but...
