Head south and west from Salina and go to Marquette....the Kansas Flat Track Motorcycle Museum. There's some real good stuff in there.

    CB/CL front wheel

What kinds of parts do you still need? Most of the stuff I have is for larger displacement bikes, but I might have some stuff laying around that you need.

I'm looking for a drum brake equipped CB/CL front wheel. Preferably in good shape, some minor pitting is OK. Let me know what you want for one!

    Douchebag stole my helmet!!

So I went ahead and filed a report. Got the same bullshit about them not being able to do anything about it. The store has video surveillance, but you wouldn't be able to see my bike as the camera is inside. The helmet was a Fulmer, model unknown, and it was a modular with a flip up chin. As far...

    Douchebag stole my helmet!!

On the way home from work today, I stopped at a convenience store that I frequent. I was only inside for 4 minutes at the most, and when I came out my helmet was gone!!! I didn't use the helmet lock, as I was just running in, but I sat it on my mirror. There was a police officer inside, so I...

    NEVER USE OLD BIKE BARN

I once ordered a seat from them. Ordered in February and received in August!!!!! Kept telling me that it was on back order, when I could get them to respond to an e-mail. Only got through by phone once. I learned my lesson.

    WOO-HOO!!!! Another Freebie!!!!

I believe it is a '77 KZ1000. I know it may not look like much now, but it is all there, and it ran 3 years ago when we took it to my buddy's house. 3 tanks, 3 tail sections, 2 seats, and many "new" smaller items (turn signals, etc.). I am already talking to someone about a full Kerker system...

Finally gonna make the 450 "shine"!!

No media. I used Simple Green in an engine sprayer, and alot of water from the pressure washer. It really cleaned things up well.

Finally gonna make the 450 "shine"!!

Well, the frame is painted, engine mostly put back together and painted. While adjusting the valves, I found a large piece of rubber "O-ring" that ended up being from the cam chain tensioner. I got the engine back in the frame, and that's about how far I've progressed. Having 4 kids running...

    AJS 7R seat - genuine

Frank at CRA has a reproduction of this seat. I love the look, but yes, it does take something very special to pull it off.

Finally gonna make the 450 "shine"!!

Update: The week is here, and I don't know that I'll make it all come together in just the short amount of time that I allowed myself. So far I have disassembled the bike and have been cleaning and painting smaller parts. I have started stripping the frame, and will probably have it painted...

    KZ400 before/after ideas?

Are you planning on using a different tank? The tank in the 2nd picture looks like a totally different shape.

Finally gonna make the 450 "shine"!!

All of the parts that I don't have to make are here and I've slowly started the teardown. The seat hinges, seat lock, helmet lock, and side cover brackets have been removed. I am going to take my time taking it all apart. Started fabbing the mounts for the rearsets, which I inted to make, and...

Finally gonna make the 450 "shine"!!

Well, I haven't posted here in quite a while, and wasn't going to until I actually started the tear-down. We just moved into a new house, so I had a huge list of "honey-dos" before I could start wrenching again. I'm finally gonna make my 450 look like I had originally intended when I brought the...
