82 gs1100 only seeing 10.7 volts at indicators....

is this normal? the bike has the turn signal switch, a 3 prong relay, and a turn signal controller. I already checked out the switches and resistance is minimal. anyone in the know, have an idea? controller dead or on the way out? I do want to simplify the system, but i'd rather not rip stuff...

    Regulator upgrade....

Okay, I spent too much money and got myself a lithium ion battery, thing is badass! but I need to upgrade from the old regulator to make sure I don't fry it. The bike is an 82 Suzuki gs1100gk. The new regulator is from a K6 gsxr1000. The original regulator has red, yellow, white/blue...

    Project "James Dean"

This one is a bit sentimental to me. I lost my uncle a few months back to a tumor in his throat that metastisized and spread everywhere. He was one of those uncles that you always looked up to and couldn't understand why he never started a family of his own, with how he cared about his nieces...

    turbos :)

while it's a long way down the road if at all, i'm tossing around the idea of a turbo on my gs1100. I'm a big believer in turbos and honestly this is just as much of a cool factor idea as anything else. so let's hear some opinions. as far as turbo/carb setups, what's been done? what should be...

    turn signals...

ok, so I have an 82 gs 1100, and am putting k6 gsxr 1000 switches on it. according to the wiring diagrams I should only have three wires to deal with. right turn signal works, hazards work, but no left turn signal. my thought is that the switch is broken. is there something simple I might be...

    battery charge rates

help me solve a small debate. how many amps should you charge a 12 volt motorcycle battery at? one gentleman at the parts store had a differing opinion from another. so what's the max you should run through one?

82 GS1100 vintage street fighter? modern cafe? who the F knows....

so I picked up this bad boy a little while ago. Was looking for something cheap I could ride this summer while I worked on it in the weekends, then pull apart and paint and chop over the winter. Turns out it needs a little more work to be road worthy than initially thought. Should be good to go...

    another new guy from Utah!

completely addicted to this sight already. Picked up an 82 suzuki gs1100gk a month or so ago, and started digging into it. The idea is to get it on the road asap, to enjoy riding a bit this summer, then tear it down this winter for paint and all sorts if cutting goodness. I'll start a project...
