I wish I wasn't a little sissy about selling a vehicle on eBay... I guess there's a way to list for pick-up only?
What's the ultimate cut eBay takes (%?)
Shit... haha
FOR SALE: My precious, 1975 RD250. The bike currently has a little over 525 original miles. I bought the motorcycle in late 2011 with 13 miles (yes, one-three), had the seals and tires (Avon RoadRider tires) replaced at Cast and Salvage in Philadelphia (Thank you, Ricky & Adam – shameless plug...
@rabbit_CL350K4
Getting a quote from a guy in Michigan would be kind of odd, given that this all happened in Philadelphia and I'm living in Philadelphia, as well. Not sure why I'm having a hard time getting a quote. The repairs are kind of nonsensical (stuff I could do myself with little...
@MNBikerPup
I understand the money comes from the crook. I've tried to get in touch with a few local, small shops and the feeling I get is nobody wants to be involved because they think somehow it can/will come back to get them. But realistically, I guess what I meant was that I'm not trying to...
Hey guys/gals,
How's it going - this past July, I was jumped in Philadelphia & the punks kicked over my CB200T ('75) during the commotion. They didn't get anything from me (well... half of one of my teeth, but that's a different issue...) Well, just recently all of the court stuff has come to...
And if only I had a way to get the RD250 to you (Fairmount)... I cannot figure it out for the life of me. I think the timing is all out of whack... Was going to mess around with a timing light, but couldn't get it to strobe. Maybe one day...
Yea... The starter button worked just fine... When there was one. A buddy accidentally stepped on the bottom half of my right side controls when everything was apart and on the ground and *crush* went that little clear box housing all the switch components was done-for. I prefer to kick it...
I weigh a little less than you & am a little shorter, but I just got an RD250 2-smoker - so when I get it running I'll have to let you know how it is. That is my 'upgrade' from my CB200, so I feel ya'.

Just looking for a kick-start lever in good shape. Never got around to replacing mine after having it bent all to Hell after being hit by the preggo lady. Starting the bike with a screw driver on the starter solenoid under the seat is getting real old... and I get a lot of weird looks.
Thanks...
Will also have to take a look into why the engine cut out when given throttle... I will likely delve into it next week when the weather in Philly finally drops below 100 deg (F) and 90% humidity...I'll also have to find a way to get it back in the house... Wish I had more convenient workspace...
Yea. The peacock pissed gas out of the front face on the lever when I put a gallon in it. Got new rubber for that too cause, yea, a lot of it has shriveled, shrank and began cracking.
I'll keep everyone posted about the title. Diesel wasn't able to get around to making it legal in Maine yet (is...
Ugh. Finally got out of work the other day early enough to find a place that sold a battery locally. The bike starts & idles well, but has carb issues cause giving it gas instantly kills the engine. Would've been too good if it just "woke up" from this 30 year nap & just worked, haha.
If that's the case, I'll be on the look out for a titled frame... Didn't really wanna go that route since the numbers match and it'd be a shame to mess that up. I guess I'll find out what's going to happen when Scott (diesel450) gets back to me & then I approach PennDOT. Keep your fingers...
It's a rust stain that looks like it's penetrated through the clear. Doesn't seem to be down to the metal, but it's kinda weird to describe. I'll have to give that 3M stuff a try... I mean, Hell... what can I lose for $16.
Thanks for the tip.

Too late, already "sold" it to diesel450. Maybe after he sells it back ;) (Kidding. It's all mine, MUA HAHAHAHA. Fingers crossed for the DMV adventures to come)
Holy BALLS. Yea, I plan on getting new tires. Just planned on waiting out this whole titling process before I spend a couple bucks on something that substantial. The rear tire surprisingly looksand feels solid, but the dry rotting/cracking is pretty evident on the front. They're both equally...
