I remember using the same machine when I was in HS. That's 35 years ago

Picked this up used on FB. Always wanted one when I was younger. Now my son's playing HS ball figured I'd just do it. Great machine. Newer ones are easier to microadjust but this ones fine. And I didn't pay $3k!!!! Run it anywhere with a 1000w generator I have for the track bike.

Saw the new triumph speed triple

I should've snapped a pic... but I was too preoccupied trying to figure out what cool looking triple that was. Here's the new RR. too bad it's north of $20k.

Man what a nice looking bike. The RR looks even cooler. that is all... not sure if there is a general discussion subforum or is general talk generally frowned upon. Generally speaking.

Good point. Hadn't thought about that.

    tank vent

Been a couple weeks and put in some miles on the tank. Everything has been working well. I am happy with the shape and function for the most part. There is one small slow leak on the left back corner that I can't exactly identify. Fuel intermittently shows up in that corner after a long ride and...

    tank vent

So I looked closer at the vented aftermarket cap I have (lightech) and came to the conclusion that it should work OK. It's a simple nonlocking screw on cap like the one teazer linked above. There is a tiny passage drilled across in the "flange" part from the filler neck side to the area between...

    tank vent

:) Help me understand... did u cross drill the holes and install the ball bearings and springs or did the gas cap you bought already have that? I'd totally use a vented gas cap if possible. I agree with adding more bits getting old fast.

    tank vent

Thanks for the suggestions... You may likely already know this-- Modern gas caps are little wonders of venting. They have tiny passages and trap doors built into them that vent the tank through the seal and into tubes that are brazed under the filler.. these tubes run straight through to the...

If I recall correctly. Clausing made a benchtop mill that might be a little smaller... always have an eye out looking. http://www.lathes.co.uk/clausing vertical/ But that mill above... beautiful.

    tank vent

Looking for some ideas venting a DIY steel gas tank. I have this track bike that I thought I'd try making a more track oriented tank for. I'm looking for a particular shape toward the rear and top of the tank that is better to brace and anchor my outside leg. They make add on tank pads that do...

    The Ducati Ebay Special

Re: The Ducati Demon Equal length headers will only make a difference if you run a merge collector for scavenging. Run separate headers into mufflers and it won't make a difference if they are unequal length. Might even sound cool with slightly more uneven exhaust rumble, like a harley. LOL.

    Reliable Lithium Battery?

I need a battery for the kz1000. I've bought antigravity in past, but am gonna go with EarthX. I like the idea of a smarter battery. (Any super top secret discount codes?)

+1 Too many decent builds are spoiled with hack and slash exhausts. Nice job.

    Head gasket with overbore

He's kinda implying he didn't use OEM gaskets. In that case, you're probably right and he should re-check. I've had Vesrah gasket kits that contained the wrong thickness head gasket. They don't really care. Still, hard to believe you would miss when you placed the head gasket on the...
