    Norton Dominator 99

A little feedback/ epilogue: After getting the machine on the road things have been getting better and better. I fitted shorter bars with a slightly higher rise and pullback. Had to mend a leaky rocker feed line and replace the rear tire with a lower profile TT100 Dunlop to prevent a slight...

    1975 Yamaha XS500B

Before I got a lift, I used to put the machine on the centre stand and block the front of the frame. Once the front wheel is off, the centre of mass usually shifts past the centre stand, so the chance of knocking it off are greatly reduced.

    1975 Yamaha XS500B

Yes, please, please restore it...but if you think it's less time consuming and cheaper than doing some sort of a custom, you may be in for a surprise. In any case, its in far, far, far too good a condition to hack up into a cafe project....find something a bit more screwed/ wrecked to do that...

    CB360T resto-rection

Little hint....those little spool shaped 'needle jets' in the carburetor venturi tend to wear quickly and be problematic in these carburetors (the early 750 Honda used the same needle jets). If you just can't get them right, the carbs from a CB350 work perfectly on these things too. Nicel...

It IS a 750...the registration papers are screwed up. Also...those tank emblems are hand made one of a kind.

    Norton Dominator 99

Had it out for its first series of test runs today...so far it seems like a fantastic machine. Nothing fell off and almost nothing needed adjusting. These things have a reputation for vibrating, but frankly, I don't know what all the fuss is about. It seems as smooth, or even smoother than some...

DO THE TON BIKE OF THE MONTH - JULY 2020 WINNER!

Congrats ncologerojr! Absubtly lovely machine, impecable workmanship. The Yamaha is a nice machine too, but against that BMW...no contest.

Got two tanks for this bike...cleaned them down to the bare metal, did my best to remove the dents and dings. Insides received a coat of Caswell liner, then got some paint applied. Next comes tank badges (which are missing) for one and a mild custom paint job on the other.

    1974 Yamaha RD200

I'm a little envious! It's in inceradible condition as is...make it yours, but I suggest you don't do anything to it that can't be easily undone...too many lovely examples are getting hacked up.

    Norton Dominator 99

With the wife on the mend and getting stronger every day, things are settling into a new normal around my home. I've got a bit of time now to tinker with the bikes and finally got the Norton started up today....I don't know if I mentioned this before, but it turns out that in spite of what the...

    1971 Honda CB450 K4 - Return to Stock

Same here...I always advise people not to do something they can't easily undo...unless they are starting with the very basics, like just an engine, or just a frame and wheels....and never, ever sell off, or toss out your stock parts. I seldom get listened to though...cast ye not perals before...

Awesome machine JAGSpeed, I figgured you'd take it. Beattiful results and well done! ...although I have to confess the heart of the 18-year-old who still lives in my head, lies with the little GT. Hard to forget one's youth.
