Just wondering if there are any serious risks of using 10W30 motor oil in place of the recommended 10W fork oil? Would the motor oil pose a threat to the fork seals or anything like that?

Wow, no way! I was out in hyderabad/secunderabad too! Oh right, didn't seem to realise many enfields or anything... i guess that's probably not surprising though, there's so much to see when you're driving on the roads, as well as the massively congested traffic, i must've just missed them...
