I made a tacked up a hoop, made a simple seat pan, and am beginning to build a little electronics tray underneath the seat. However, I'm a bit stuck and could use some inspiration.

Wow, I had no idea that these bikes had such a strict starting ritual... Once I got it down however, she purrs.

No, not really. After some reading last night, I learned the standard starting procedure with these bikes. This is my first sr500 and I had no idea that you cant adjust timing and there's a technique to using the decomp lever and such.
TLDR - I'm dumb but still in disbelief that she won't start.

@brodie - I totally agree. I'd much rather spend $30 on a new cover than chase threads in the case
Plus, I got a chance to snag a Peace sign Motolanna cover that'll make this bike even uglier
Yeah, I do think that this is fiber friction pads. I was able to break them loose and clean up the steels and I think it's going to be ok. It's a bummer that the oil filter cap broke.
