Estimates was from woodys and buchanen. Woodys would be the cheaper route since there closer. I want to say they quoted me about 700 per wheel for new seals and bearings, spokes, and Powdercoating. I'll have to dig through my emails to see what it was exactly.
Hey guys. I have a '76 BMW R90/6. I'm wanting to swap my gauges for DCC mini 2.5" speedo and tach, but do not know what ratio tach to buy. Any ideas? Thanks!
Gathering up all the parts for my '76 BMW R90 cafe project
Looking for some nice S/S mufflers/exhaust, and black wheels with S/S spokes. Don't have the budget (1200-1500) to send mine out to get rebuilt and powdercoated.
If you have anything else for a BMW cafe let me know. I may be interested.
I might hold on to the bags now with the idea if i do a long ride to get togethers like that they could come in handy! I may be back around then not sure yet. The boat heads home to florida the end of september, but it usually takes 3-4 weeks to get across the atlantic.
Thanks all! I'm totally onboard to keeping it as is, I to think it looks soo good as is! Definitely want to clean up the tail by removing/chopping the fender down, smaller/cleaner signals/brake light. I want to ditch the clusters (since there cracked already), and just get a tach or speedo or...
How's it going all, been lurking here for a year or two now. My names Brent, I'm 26 and live in South Florida. I work as a Chief Officer on a 187' Yacht, currently in Greece. Been waiting for the opportunity to buy my first motorcycle and build a fun Cafe. Well the day has finally come. Just...
Been looking to start my first build for the past 4-5 months just havent found the right bike. My granddad who i never was able to meet had a 1974 Maxim Brown CB450 and would LOVE to find a bike just like his.
Never got to meet him but would love to build a bike in his memory. If you guys...

really dont want to spend more than 1k-1,500 tops since i will be tearing into it for a cafe build
yeah, i would never pay that was gonna offer alot less. Seems all the people with bikes down here in Florida are asking huge prices.
I did find two "good" condition '74 cb360s. What is a fair price to offer? each are asking 2,000 and 2,200. I just emailed a offer of 1,000. Too high? too low...
Hey guys, found a pretty nice unmolested '76 CB200 locally on craigslist. Looks to be well kept and original. What are your opinions on that particular bike for a first time Cafe Project. Don't plan on any highway use, just a nice town cruiser. I'm also 5'11 175lbs.
Also what would be a fair...
Nice find! All the people down here in Florida think bikes like that are still worth 2k+. Wish I new bike mechanics otherwise I'd find a beater too and fix her up.
In the market for a running CB450, I'm in south Florida but if the right deal came along I'd consider making a trip or paying for shipping. Let me know if you can help out. Thanks guys
thats what i was thinking just wanted to check with the experts. I think it would be pretty cool to build a cool cafe in his honor with the same bike he had, never had a chance to meet him, but he def. passed down the Custom Car, truck, bike gene.
