Re: Scott's 1974 CB360 project- She is alive!!

    I did mount the CB360 fender, I’ll post a picture once I re-paint it.

Re: Scott's 1974 CB360 project- She is alive!!

The steertube did work out fine, I just had to remove some material from the underside of the upper triple. It had sort of a skirt that overlapped the upper bearing cup, the CB360 upper bearing cup was bulkier and interfered.

Re: Scott's 1974 CB360 project- She is alive!!

Well, I expected it to be pretty easy and it was. :) One thing I forgot to mention this morning was that neither the VTR250 or CB360 steertube seems like it will work. I used one from a CB-1, which is the same as a lot of Honda bikes. I just happened to have one since I put a CB-1 front end on...

Re: Scott's 1974 CB360 project- She is alive!!

I finished the steer tube swap and slid it all together, one thing I hadn’t measured was the fork length. The VTR250 forks are about 4.5” longer so they will be sticking above the upper clamp over 3”. I don’t mind, but some may. I will use clip-ons mounted above the upper triple to reduce the...

I believe it’s extended high RPM, I am not over 75HP and our long straight is maybe 400m.

Sorry, here’s the Hawk GT, it has RC30 bodywork. It has been a race bike for over twenty years, it works very well but I’ve be modding it further.

Re: Scott's 1974 CB360 project- She is alive!!

I checked it out today, the CB uses the alternate length tube so I ground the weld off and pressed in the spare steer tube I had in my bin. Will have it welded in this week. Looks like I can probably use my CB360 fender with a little creativity. :)

Re: Scott's 1974 CB360 project- She is alive!!

Ok, updates for anyone wanting to do this swap: 1. you’ll need to space the caliper in, two spacers id, 8mm, od 18mm, L 7mm and get two M8x1.25 40mm long bolts. 2. you need to ovalize two of the six rotor bolt holes slightly to get the stock long bolts through. Then you’ll want to drill four...

Re: Scott's 1974 CB360 project- She is alive!!

CrazyPJ, you probably know some specs on the CB360 steerer. When I put the CB-1 front end on my VTR250 I had to use the VTR steer tube, aparently the CB-1 had a very common Honda steerer where the VTR had an uncommon one. I still have the CB-1 steer tube and I’m hoping maybe I can just press...

Re: Scott's 1974 CB360 project- She is alive!!

Hello all, I have been absent here for quite a while as my passion has been for road racing lately. I haven’t ridden the CB since 2015, and I’ve never finished setting up the Mikuni kit as I couldn’t solder the throttle cable... Anyway, for two years I’ve had the original front end from my...

    CB360 Hot Coil

I just left my key on for a few minutes and since I took my tank off I noticed the left coil was very hot. Is this indicative of something being just the left coil.

    Cb360 fork swap

I see, before I ask too many questions do you have the Katana swap detailed somewhere? Sounds easy enough, just like to see the steps :) If I use the Katana caliper does that require the Katana rotor to be set up on the CB hub or can the CB rotor be used somehow?

    Cb360 fork swap

Cool, my 360 is disc. I'd like to run a new caliper and a fork/caliper matching rotor. Would this be an easier swap than a Hurricane 600 front end? That's what I had been considering.
