Looks nice. Won't your fairing cover the upper fork tubes? Not sure there's anything else you could do except make some new covers or cut out slots in your old one for the new headlight/fairing mounts. I don't mind ithem being exposed on my CL350, although the fork tubes are a bit spindly looking.
My CL350 has an aftermarket exhaust from the period (I believe the manufacturer was MCM) with the look I think you're going for. I run an internal baffle in each pipe instead of a muffler though. They would be pretty easy to reproduce IMO given that its a few sections of straight pipe after the...
That's a cool chart, @Tanshanomi. I'm worried if I made something like that I'd get depressed at how long I've actually been sitting on some of my "projects." Your taste in machines is really interesting but I'm more curious about your taste in wheelsets. What did the pentagram wheels on the...
The head took the large bore just fine. No liner needed. Can't say anything about overheating because it's not a bike I ride very a long distance or time. If I wanted to ride it more I'd honestly p robably look at bolting on a 125 Honda clone (like a Lifan) and saving the pushrod motor for...
You can do this yourself pretty easily. Vermont has no shame in taking your money and providing you a registration for your untitled vehicle. I'd call them and make sure you have the most up to date form and are using the correct valuation for calculating the transfer fee. Since Vermont doesn't...
Love the new bars and light! I actually think it's worth what you have it priced at (especially since everyone in the area seems to price their sportsters at $3000 regardless of year/condition).
What state are you in? Since this is a title issue it is dependent on state law. I assume, though, that most would allow what you're planning on doing. I think there are typically statutes preventing tampering with the VIN plate itself (Ohio has one for example) but transplanting the neck should...
Sorry for the sidetrack but I have to ask about this one. I have a 66 c100 with a 4mm overbore and s65 piston but never heard of a Weber (Web Cam) camshaft being available. Was it a manufactured item or a custom grind? Also, did you deck the cylinder head to up the CR or it that just what it was...
