Ok, so this may be old news, but for as long as I can remember there has been a serious problem that mechanics have had to deal with; the issue of the missing 10mm socket. Now I know this may be old news, if so excuse this old guy and I'll go back into my corner. It seems that the good people at Harbor Freight have solved this long-time and frustrating issue:

The Harbor Freight 10mm socket set: The PITTSBURGH® 10mm Essential Socket Set comes with a full range of standard, deep, flex, and impact sockets in drive sizes 1/4 in., 3/8 in., and 1/2 in. This socket set is ideal for replacing lost 10mm sockets or filling out a master mechanic's tool set. $18.99 at your local HF store.

Well how about that????

I am missing more than 10 10mm sockets, so buying a set just gives me more to lose.

I had to open 3 socket sets to find 1 of my 10 10mm sockets to fix Williams Hawk Sat. that means I need to clean my shop and find and put back all mine.

I built a similar set of 10 10mm sockets a couple of years ago when I couldn't find a single 10mm socket in 3 tool chests. This custom built set was for the exclusive use of my sons. In a week they managed to lose two sockets. This HF set would be cheaper than piecing a set together.

Hello
Story time? ;)

Once i have found 10mm socket on a treck in a national park: deep woods, some 15 kilometers from a paved road so that was a surprise by itself.
I was as happy as the time I found in a toilet bowl a kidney stone I've just gave birth to.
Made a keychain with that socket. After few months my kid lost the keys, soooooo...

You'll have to make a new keychain... out of the kidney stone!

I put mine in a super secret drawer in an out of the way tool chest. I'll probably forget that I have them and my kids will find the empty socket rack after I die. Somewhere in the universe there is a void slowly being filled with 10mm sockets.

True, and my theroy is that HF has discovered the secret of how to find them and are now re-selling! Clever!

Good topic for a first post. I volunteer at a local dog shelter, walking along a trail this morning with one of the shelter dogs, and saw what I thought at first was a spent 9mm cartridge. It was a 1/4" drive 10MM socket LOL.

Good job, you aprehended a fugitive 10mm socket trying to make a break for it!
