when he asked for advice, im like "hmm, well, depends what you want. do you want a pink bike with hello kitty in a bondage position? because i could give you advice."

i kept my thoughts to myself xD


best advice i can give is to fix and adjust everything to factory spec first before doing mods. makes life easier. oh, and have fun, and label everything. organization is the best.
 
as a final result i just want to paint the tank and seat silver with a couple of black stripes through the middle. for a seat i was thinkin about goin with a seat from roccitycafe.com. still need to know what to do for turn signals, tail light, and i bought carb rebuilds need a lil help on those but im sure they arent bad to do, plus i want to adjust the valves. i bought this bike running with a title. problem was it didnt have much power. i dont know if its because it didnt have mufflers, just sum shitty cut off pipes from an old cb i guess. but i changed that. so yep need help with valve adjustment, timing, seat, turn signals and tail light, and i think thats it
 
put the tank on to see if im feelin that color... dont know any ideas?

I just wanna say - for as "quite" as this thread is, you're doing some great work so far.

Have you done a compression test on the motor? That will tell you if its the valves or rings that are losing power.
 
painted the back wheel today. gunna order the seat tuesday.. and ideas on rear turn signals and a taillight?

please get some clips-ons or maybe maybe dirt bike bars...but the flipped stockers ain't workin.
 
oh yea im going to need to buy new tires. i think the front and back on this bike are an inch difference no? but ne ways... first bike. what tires would be the best for me?

Here are the turn signals and taillight I am going to use. You will need a new relay flasher thing for the turn signals b/c they are LED. My room mate has them installed on his bike and they work great, same for the taillight, it looks good and its nice and bright.

Avon Road Riders... 80/90-18 front and 90/90-18 rear. i wouldnt go wider then that on stock rims, and thats PLENTY of grip.
 
painted the bike. what u guys think? and also i was riding it yesterday and it just shut off completely around 30 miles an hour, complete power outage what could it be? battery still has power only thing i checked.

Your bike is all there................. but the bottom line of the tank looks to low in relation to the seat pan.
Is it possible to either raise the tank mounts or lower the seat?
once the line matches up I think it'll look sweet and the paint work will kick in.
