1975 CB125 Tracker project

^^ ain't that the truth. In my experience that maths doesn't get any easier either. #challenged

On the other hand, it would be a good way to drive in the conversion. Probably best to err on the side of safety, though.

If he wasn't a new rider I'd agree. If we get to go state side ever again he can learn to convert kph to mph. He'll have some miles on by then

Progress is progress. Magoo is modeling a new speedo plate. Going to 3d print then highlight the # and dashes. I did some finishing on the tailight now that LED is in. Forgot a before but it was rusty and dirty.

Before on bracket.

Not super bad but heating the paint and part I can dip out to garage, spray, bring back in and cure.

The before were after a good scotchbrite and simple green scrub to prep.

Decided to make a new plate instead of designing a decal for printing. Magoo imported the scan into blender then made this

Installed. Going to buy some 6V LED in blue, green, and orange and print a dash and mount on bars instead of putting rhe old lights in the speedo.

Also need replacement screws. Had to drill one out as it was so rusted. I replaced the backlight with one of the LEDs so need to order 2 more of those one for tacho light and one to replace signal one I used in speedo.

Thanks just grabbed these: 2 yellow one blue and one green. $12 shipped and we'll print up a dash to mount the between the guages.

They come in 6V, 12V, 24V

Yeah, love that! You guys must be loving building this bike together, your boy getting to flex his 3D printing skills along the way.

Got a link to those LED's? I'm thinking of keeping the OEM instruments on the gl but ditching the ugly (to me) idiot light factory set-up between them - I'll be watching how you guys go about it.

Light back. All connections sanded and dielectric greased etc. Fender just sitting but man the tail is nice and bright.

Since changing my headlight to LED I can attest that I have had far fewer cars pull out in front of me during daylight hours. Might just be a coincidence but every bit helps.
