Don't plan on going too crazy with it, black Forks/Frame/Engine/Wheels, with Volvo Grey for the Tank/Seat (Probably a different tank and a Fiberglass seat). Clubmans upfront since clipons don't exactly fit on those forks, see if I can't get a bracket made for some rear sets as well, lower profile signals/brake lights, and Bobbed Fenders
If anyone has dealt with this bike or ones like it, feel free to offer suggestions/advice, first time wrenching a bike, though, it being a 2-stroke should simplify things.
1. Should the headlight be coming on if the bike isn't running?
2. Turn signals light up but don't flash, aside from the flasher relay, is there any other cause for this? (Before I order a flasher relay)
3. The bike sits in neutral, I can shift it down into 1st, and up into second and third but I don't feel a strong click above that, does this indicate a problem? (Bike is turned off, haven't got the engine running again yet.)
The headlight will come on if you turn the key to "on". Sounds like it a flasher relay But I am no expert on that. With the shifting, let out the clutch and rock the bike back and forth, it will allow the upper gears to engage while not running. Good luck with the bike I will be watching it for sure.

Alright, well the headlight must be blown or disconnected somewhere, when I switch the high/low beams the indicator light on the speedo doesn't even turn on. Got the side fuel drained, air filter out, the screws holding the rest of the mount for the side cover are partially stripped, so I sprayed some WD40 on them and let them sit over night. Going to be removing/cleaning/rebuilding the carb tomorrow, see if I can't get the bike to turn over after that's done.
Cleaned out externally/internally well enough to get it running fine, will go over externally again when I'm going to be repainting everything/removing the rest of the dirt off the bike, just need to get it running.
Under the front fender. Going to bob this as well as the rear.. what could I do to best remove the rust though?
IF YOU ARE GOING TO PAINT IT, WIRE WHEEL THE HECK OUT OF IT, OR EVAPORUST, IT LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE GOING TO NEED A BUNCH OF IT ANYWAY! iT IS A GOD SENT FOR REAL. DO THAT BIKE A FAVOR AND LOOSE THAT CENTER STAND, THATS PROB 1/4 THE WEIGHT OF THE ENTIRE BIKE.
Haha will do, the center stand is going as soon as I finish enough work on the bike to get it running, and will only be used periodically whenever I do work, unless I get a front/rear stand for it.
The PO told me that the headlight will turn on when the engine turns on, says it's on a separate coil so that the headlight runs when the engine runs even if the battery is dead, hopefully can I can get it running today, will post a video once it starts running.
Well, as you can see my kick shaft twisted and snapped, which is disappointing. No hard kicks or anything, was just tuning the carb, trying to get the idle right.. Got the bike running, ordered a new kick shaft and a new relay.. When those come in a total teardown will commence, sparks will start flying, paint will be removed and applied.
Finally decided on pretty much going with this look:
Yamaha TA125, club racing bike Yamaha released, there's a fairing along with it but that'd be a bit of work to be made street legal, with the headlight and all so that's off the list for now.. Colours will probably be different as well, if only slightly. Found a source for the repro seat,tank/fairing if anyone is interested in knowing, fairly pricy stuff.
