1976 cb750f Front Rotor too close to forks??

Hi all,
Laced up my front rims and bolted everything back together for a test fit. after popping it into the forks the Rotor is super close to the forks and is out of alignment with the brake caliper, runs through at an angle. Looks like i'm out 1/4 - 3/8" in spacing somehow. I don't remember this being an issue before teardown but I can't seem to figure out what's going on. I have it put back together as per the service manual with the correct spacers. any thoughts as to what i'm missing? or is this actually how close it's supposed to be?

It’s almost impossible to tell from photos but your wheel doesn’t look parallel to the fork leg is your axle seated correctly in the caps and forks ?

It looks like your legs are twisted in the triples.

I made a thread on here asking the very thing. "What's bent here?" .... turns out nothing. As Brent says, it was just the fork tubes twisted in the triples, making everything look off.

My forks were USD, but what i did is put the bike on the center stand and loosen all the bolts on the top and bottom triples. Grip the wheel with my legs and twist in the direction i want to straighten. Took a couple little movements and the wheel sat pretty straight after that.

This really looks like the same type of issue, especially with the rotor sitting at an angle inside the caliper.

Thanks guys, never even thought of that! I'll give things a straighten and tighten and see if it lines out.
