1978 CB550: complete or parting out

Getting rid of a 1978 CB550K. Just about all there, got it with some other stuff, need to make room, engine isn't stuck, and it's got a clear title. $800 takes it complete. If nobody wants the whole thing I will part it out:
$250 titled frame.
$250 complete engine
$190 carbs + boots + manifold -- rebuilt with NOX parts.

$60 key set (seat lock, steering lock).
One side cover is good (left, if I remember correctly) the other is missing lower tab, $40.
Gauges, complete front brake system (in working order), wheels, turn signals, bars, controls, stock airbox + boots, forks, headlight, seat, pegs, brake lever, shifter, front and rear fender... you get the idea.

It's a New England bike (I'm in Boston), so it's got a little rust here and there, but it's in very nice shape overall (gauges aren't faded, for example, and chrome is good on fenders). Exhaust is pretty ratty but if you need to run something I guess it would work. Photos by request.

If enough people want parts I will tear it down right away. If someone wants the whole thing, lemme know ASAP. I can deliver to Boston/Providence area for mileage. If enough people want parts off of it, I will tear it down right away.

I need a bottom mounting bolt to the engine mount that mounts the pegs as well. Just the long bolt, I don't need the nut or the pegs. Also, the screw and tach drive would be awesome as well.

in for part out. I need the fuse box/holder, both throttle cables. possibly brakes and carbs too.

Probably worth getting new cables in my opinion. If you are going install cables anyway, why not? Both can be had for like $25 .

Drey6 is right -- new ones are cheap. Thanks for the interest... I'm gonna make up my mind in a couple days, still want to get rid of the whole thing. Or at least have someone step up to either the engine or the frame and title.

Cables are actually in good shape, look to have been recently replaced.

Scratch that on the bolt, I was able to save the threads after much frustration. If you end up parting it out, I'm in for tach cable mount.

Reduced prices if anyone is interested, see below.

$200 titled frame.
$200 complete engine
$350 for both
$100 carbs
$65 tank -- couple small dings, little bit of rust, not bad though

Opened up the carbs today to discover they've been completely rebuilt, including NOS floats. $160 for carbs, $190 including boots and intakes, PM me and I will send photos.

Ah too bad. I dont think it'll fit. Thanks though!
. A lot of them are universal in a sense. I'd be apprehensive if it was from a smaller bike then to yours but if it's from a larger bike it should be fine.

I'm in Boston also so a whole bike purchase is possible - is it titled? and does the engine turn over?
Thanks

Pic of the exhaust system? Is it 4 into 2 or 1? It doesn't have to be perfect as I will most likely paint it and wrap it. It'd be shipping to MN 55904. Might be a little expensive but worth a shot. I have nothing at the moment. I have a 77 CB 550K, I'm assuming it will fit just fine. Thanks!
