Yes, it's with water and air. Glass bead is the most common media, since it polishes (peens) the surface. You can also blast with garnet or aluminum oxide to remove material, or soda to clean. You can also combine alumina and glass bead for a little bite but still a polish. Any part intended for powder coat (or paint) should not be glass bead, since it doesn't give the bite needed for the powder.Looking good man. A friend of mine has a set up that looks similar to yours Irk which I used to clean up my Comstars - it uses glass bead as the media and air as far as I can tell. Is vapour honing the same but with water instead?
Every time I've mentioned vapour honing here in Montreal I get blank stare replies, as if it's called something else around here.
