Been out of the vintage bike game for a while now. And the last several bikes I did were SOHC4 Honda's. It's been a LOOOONG minute since I messed with an XS650.
I have a friend who is moving out of the country and offered me a deal that I just couldn't turn down on this XS650.
He had clip on bars and rear sets on it at one time. Now has stock pegs and Super Bike bars. Looks great and is way more comfy this way.

He had time to clean the carbs and install a battery. I have the stock headlight and two small bobber style headlights. The easy button would be the stock light, but I'll play around with the other two and see how it looks.
If I really dug in, I bet I could have this thing running in a weekend.

I need a gas cap, and I'm not the biggest fan of that style of pods. Otherwise, I don't plan on changing much all.

The only other thing I may do is look for a slimmer style brake master cylinder. What's the latest on bolt on caliper/rotor upgrades these days?
Maybe a slotted rotor from an 850 and a bracket to adapt a modern caliper?
