Hey guys. I've been lurking this site for a while, but after getting my first bike a few weeks ago I've decided to join in on the fun. I picked up a 1984 Suzuki GS 750 which needs some touching up and finishing, and I'd like to post in here as I make some progress on it. I don't have any specific view of how I'd like to take it and working with a student's budget I don't have a lot of room for aftermarket stuff, so anything that I can do myself, I will.
I'd like to start off with finding a battery for it. When I picked it up it didn't have one, and finding information on the stock one is proving to be quite difficult. From the little bit I was able to dig up, I'll be needing a 12v 14ah 170cca. Can anyone verify if that's correct?
Some other things that will be happening once I can find out if it runs will be clip ons, front master cylinder(previous one seems unrepairable), cone filters(I'll be rigging up airflow restrictors to match the flow of the stock airbox so I won't have to mess with the carbs(to clean up the mid section of the bike)), signals(none at the moment), and a seat. The stock seat is torn to hell so I will be reshaping it and reupholstering it if not completely switching it out. Pics will be up as soon as I get the tank cleaned & sealed, which I'm hoping will be within the next few days.
