Hi Ninja, I've read your whole build thread and it's great. You've got some really experienced people giving you pointers, so hats off to them too. You've done some pretty cool stuff with that 360. I'm doing my first build on a CJ and I'm learning a lot from your thread. I'm staying with stock pistons and air boxes so I don't expect any big leaps in performance, but it will be a lot lighter (even without all the drilling you've done LOL). Looking forward to seeing your finished project!
Hey thanks! My project is about as "complete" as is now... of course always will make improvements, but they will be easier weekend jobs. Here is a pic I snapped last week! Looking forward to seeing your bike!

Wipe some ATF on top and outside of K&N's. The filter oil is thin and needs couple of applications before it thickens up properly. Don't worry too much about them being grey, the cotton is white when new, grey means you probably have some dust in there? It may be another reason carbs work better after 200 miles, a very tiny drop in airflow?

You ever fux with that copper pipe on your kicker? I'd love to see a pic of that if you did.

that will likely be completed this monday - I'll be at the machine shop again then, doing some more drilling (safety wiring a lot of stuff)

I’m still loving your work MN !

Think i’ll have my brake disks drilled as it looks better/might make them work in the wet!

Just nominated this for bike of the month. Need someone to second it and we are set.

Hey thanks my man! I doubt I'll be near enough votes to beat the guzzi tho
That thing is very nice and already has more than 1 magazine cover.

Still worth a shot. You put a lot of effort into this one.

Real cool invite. Is it going to be bit of a trek in February? (no idea of climate in 'frozen North West' ;D )

it will indeed. but that's part of the adventure I am sure

I suppose it could be done w/ the engine in the frame, I believe I remember reading that the rocker box will JUST clear the studs before hitting the frame. As a minimum the exhaust pipes, tank, coils, and top motor mount bracket would have to be removed. When we changed out the jugs and pistons on mine the engine was sitting on a bench and it was pretty nice having it sitting up at a higher, workable level. By the time you jump through the hoops to accomplish the job in-frame it's probably little more trouble to just pull it out. At least w/ it out of the frame it'll be easier to give the whole lump a good, thorough cleaning and a close-up inspection to make sure there's nothing broken, cracked, or, generally, out of order.
