Yeah I got it from the us, I stuck a sticker on it myself. It just fits my head perfectly. The only other open faces in that sort of style are cheap crap. I've got a $30 one from china and it's legal but I don't trust it as far as I'd like to throw it, such a stupid law. I hope that the dot approved is okay. I just feel alot better in my bell than I do in other crap that's legal.
Hey dude, definitely a cool fibreglass seat - any pictures of the mounting yet? And I'm pretty sure the DOT approved isn't legal here, but how have you found it? Any issues with the cops etc?
well its been along time since ive added to this, alot has changed. im just going to dump a bunch of photo's and give a quick explanation when i can be bothered haha
i started by stripping the whole bike.
grinded all the unwanted brackets and tabs off
made up brackets for my rear sets and welded them into place
etch primed and painted my frame, painted it black then gold and green flake then green candy.
the rebuild begins, cleaning parts and replacing parts as i go. polishing alloy etc
trying to reach my deadline for the "oil stained brain" show in melbourne with two weeks to put my bike back together it was a race. i just got my seat upholstered in time as well. with help from a friend. she did a great job.
this is the size of the shed most of this work was done in, also the state it was in after the mad rush.
i made an exhaust tip, got the wiring finished and she is on the road, am getting a custom stainless exhaust made for her, but here are some photo's i took in my new shed
Just trying to get it to run right. Top end sputters but when I back off its okay, pretty sure with the change to my exhaust the back pressure has changed. I need a bigger main jet me thinks. Can any one confirm? Also where's a good place to get new jets?

Typically if you are able to SLOWLY give it throttle towards the top end, you are running lean. I'd agree with your though on a bigger main. But needle position can play a role in this as well, just as a heads up!
If you are running lean, careful not to push it until you get the jetting right. Prolonged lean can end in bits of aluminum all through the motor that once was a piston. don't ask how I know. Nice work, the paint and matched seat upolstory is killer.
I did all the work my self. Everything except for the motor rebuild. I'm a spray painter by trade. If you want your tank painted hit me up. I'd be happy to help.

when you say needle position do you mean pilot needle that is adjustable from outside or the main needle accessible when fuel bowl is off? Gave it a tune up by the book which made it a bit better but still cannot give it the full beans.
