Soooo, last night I bought a 78 CB750K, on the assumption that with a new battery it would start up (i know i know) so as you can guess, I get it home, new battery in, and.....nothing, no lights no nothing, completely dead as far as electronics go, so my question to people that may have been in this situation before, aside from tearing the bike completely apart, what are suggestions for common culprits or where I should start to look to eliminate options, I have this morning purchased a new ignition switch, fuse block (and fuses), and solid state rectifier/regulator........please help, I just wanna get it started one time so I can get it to the shop :(

A test light and a bunch of fuses is a good place tibstart...
Now that u have a new battery in u re gonna have to start testing where u are getting power and where you are not..

It would be awesome if it just needed new fuses..

SOHC or DOHC?
DOHC, check main fuse on solenoid (30A)
I forget if SOHC is same solenoid on 78

put on the new ignition switch, fuse block, and rectifier/regulator, and viola lights are on : ), cleaning carbs today and should start right up! Thanks for the suggestions!
