Think I've just decided to roll with the seat I have for now. Thanks for posting that for me.

Did you experience any flex in your levers? I finally completed the linkage to my home made rearsets and discovered that they flex alot! I will have to start from scratch and go with at least 3/8" aluminum. I can really kick myself for not buying pre-made rear sets in the first place.

They seem stiff so far. They should be much stronger than the stock levers. I will find out when I get her on the road.

I'm back at it. I just finished the shifter side.

Now I need to figure out my exhaust and bars. I was thinking of using the stock header pipes to go 2-1 into a silencer out the right side at an angle. I just need to find a pipe. Any ideas? I also can't decide if I want to go with clip ons or clubmans. What do you guys think?

I'll toss a vote in for the clubmans. Admittedly, it's more a personal preference and historical accuracy (back in the day clips ons were way more expensive than clubmans) than any functional advantage.

I like clip-ons. With the narrow profile of the KZ, I think clubmans would be too wide, comically so. Of course, I'm not really concerned with achieving historical accuracy.

I have a Harley sportster mufflers on mine. They look pretty cool and people practically give them away. Although they are pretty quiet until you really open it up.

You can see and hear them in my build thread.

The Norton seamless peashooters on my KZ just simply rip. I love the sound. Deep and throaty at idle, with that gnarly Britist type rasp at high RPM. Not for the faint of heart, but quieter and less droney than m custom baffle set up before it.

They go for $130/pair on Ebay and I think Dime City has them now too. We simply cut off the stock mufflers, welded these on, slipped the little heat sheilds back on over the seam, and I bent two extremely simple brackets from 1/8" flat bar and bolted through the passenger peg brackets...

If you like some serious bite from your exhaust you will love these...not TOOOOOO loud though :)

I would like a gp style pipe to come out under the right peg. I was thinking about wrapping the headers and having a chrome silencer/tip

Any particular look (for the silencer that is) like GP style, polished, etc? You could find the pipe and then fab up some connections to it.

Not saying you should go with this, but it came up in a search.

The price of clubmans is very attractive.
