Ok I got the holes bored out. I decided to put the angle on my bars rather than the clamps just to keep things simple. I still have a bit of material to remove and some tapping to do but they are coming along.

This seem to be the slowest part of my build! (I hope) :p I Spent about 3 hours catching up the right clamp. now I am trying to decide If I want to start hoging off material or keep it big beefy and strong looking. Once I get the clip ons done, I will be moving back to the frame. I need to get the wiring and exhaust figured out, I also need to get my seat mounted. I am trying to get all my chassis mods done so I can get my frame painted. Still so much work to do.

I'd say leave them big but put some nice big fillets on the areas that aren't structural to give it a nice flowing and strong look, especially if you are planning on running the stock curvy tank.

These are my Pro Flo clip-ons, an awesome dbay score. I love the beefiness of these things. Perhaps they'll give you some ideas.

I Just about finished the left side clamp tonight. I have a few finishing touches to take care of then, I'm moving on to the right side. I decided to go with the beefy look. (just in case you were wondering)

I was thinking about putting a 45 on the outside edges, or do you think I should just leave it as is?

I still might bevel/round the edges. Does anyone know where to get wheels and spoke kits for kz400's?

We have a pair! finally! I still need to get some bars and slide them in. I'm didnt mount them because I dont feel like pulling the forks at the moment.

They've turned out really well, look strong too.
I'd soften the edges once you know they are right.

I'd say put a bevel on if you can, you've done the work to make it functional but you'll really appreciate the extra finish later.

I just wish I had the skills/tools do get that far!

Ok i took your advice and beveled the edges where I could. It gives it a smooth look.......I like it.

I would have gone all the way around the clamp but, the taper would have run into my holes and I didnt want that.

Yup, that's a big visual improvement. I wish I had the kit to bang stuff out like that!
