Haha......I got the stand at grizzly tools for $39 I used some 3/8 threaded rod for the mounts. I really made it nice to work on.

i like the stand. i am always using my garage table , but it ends up pretty grimey .

Tonight was a big moment for me! The kz finaly made the long journey from its home in the basement to its new home in the garage. A good friend of mine came over and we very carefully reinstalled the power plant. That pipe insulation was the best $6 bucks I ever spent. Not a single scratch on the frame or the engine. I was sweating and praying the entire time but, it went off without a hitch.

thanks guys. Yeah I threw up a little in my mouth at the thought of ever getting stuck on a freshly oil/chipped road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-[ :'( :'( haha

Once you start riding it, you'll obsess less :) I ride the crap out of my once-mirror polished aluminum clad XS and am happy it's getting some well earned scrapes and bumps.

Yup, he's right, I washed the bike every chance I got the first summer, but now I realize how much more bad ass it looks with a bit of grime and usage :)

Nice work. funny how we micro stress on the smallest things that people wont ever see on our bikes. You will give up a bit once you realize there is nothing you can do when the earths elements take in to place. All you will care about is just riding the hell out of that 400 ;D

Welcome to why I'm so damned happy that my Bonnie is 42 years old, completely original, put me in the hospital once, and shabby as hell. But it runs. And I know every inch of it.

I got the rocker cover on tonight. I set the tank and seat on for a few pics. Its coming together..............
