Thanks man! I just keep getting more and more excited to fire her up. I really hate wiring, so im not looking forward to the next step.

It just keeps getting better and better...

My two goals for tonight are to get the carbs torn apart and see how they look. Clean and replace as necessary. I also will be milling out my sexy new carb holders to fit the 400 head. (Thanks valvesprung) I will try to post progress pics in an hour or two.

Ok I got the boots on and carbs are cleaned I polished the bowls. Everything looked really clean inside, but i'm sure I will need to re-jet. Any of you kz400 guy know a good starting point for pods and 2-1 exhaust? Thanks

I have not. One of the shops early on did a bit, but it was before I knew what to ask. Right now it runs ok with the airbox and peashooters, a little lean, but not bad

My seat is now finished and mounted. I am really happy with how it turned out.

Dude she looks amazing. Are you going to ride her ,or are you just going to take pictures of her all day?,lol lets go

Looks REALLY, really good. Love the seat.

As far as jetting goes... I don't have pods, or 2-1 exhaust, but I can tell you what I know and you can take it for what it's worth.

First off, jets for this bike are expensive compared to most. I bought mine at jetsrus.com. The good news is that they have them all. The bad news is they have a $7 flat rate shipping. Which I guess is fine if you order enough jets. Mains were $5 each + shipping.

Anyways... I have K&N Style intakes and 2-2 exhaust and only went up 1 size all the way around. 72 on the main and 92 or whatever on the secondary. With POD's and 2-1, my initial instinct would be to go 2 or 3 sizes up from stock and see how it runs.

I could be wrong, but that is what I would try.

i dont usually go for the thicker padded seats but i really DIG this one. its hard to stay unique in this ever growing niche so i like where you went with it. looks great
