Damn! I was in Johnstown (my old home town) for Thunder in the Valley over the weekend. Was able to catch all the text messages keeping me in touch with what was going on, but the phone wasn't good enough to handle the pictures. That bike is bloody gorgeous! Don't worry about the wiring. Keep is simple. Start with what you need to get it to run and charge the battery. Then get the lights to work. Anything more . . . . . . . don't bother. It won't make the bike go any faster or handle any better.

Thanks I am happy with how it's turning out. I am debating on reusing the stock harness or making a new one. I want to keep it a neat and simple as possible.

You might regret doing all of that other work, but sticking with the old, bulky, and ugly stock harness. Of course, this is coming from someone who wouldn't mind doing that type of thing, as 12V wiring is kind of my thing. If you go with stock, I'm sure you'll be trimming a bunch of excess off, and when you do, double check and/or replace the stock connectors using the right connectors and tools. Have fun.

Looks nice dude, can't wait to see how those shocks work out, I'm thinking about getting some of those off the Bay for my Honda!

Its been awhile but I finally got some ambition and did a little work on the bike. I wired up the switch housings and mounted them. I need to paint my headlight bucket and run some wires.

That thing is gorgeous! I really like the drilled levers, looks very cool. 8)

PS: What was your first impression of those shocks?

Thanks! I cant tell you how they perform yet, but they seem surprisingly well made. I am looking forward to blasting into a bumpy corner with them. They are much stiffer than the stockers

This thing is turning out amazing. I'm glad to see so many KZ's getting built. I'd like to know how those shocks work out too. They look great.

Yo mock up your head light so we can get an idea of how it will look , for your color skeem

i voted for white and red... from the side profile i think it would look cool and uniform with the white sections of the bike. perhaps with the actual rim of the light being red and the housing being white. i know chrome is king but i always like the pop of the rim being painted. or even a red strip along the rim of the white housing and the light being the same color as the tank.... SO MANY OPTIONS!

I thought about painting the headlight ring, but I am worried about the durability. I think it would look awesome. I will have some headlight mockup pictures up soon. I need to find my headlight bolts. :-\ In the meantime here are some pictures of my mounted air speed gauge. It still needs plumbed up, but at least its bolted on.
