'81 CB750k Tracker - Build #3

Did some stuff recently.

New aluminum undertail, and rear turn signals:

New speedo mount to put the gauge face at a better angle:

Got the new battery in and went for a ride:

overall the bike looks great, considering it is brat-ish
i think some matching leather side panels would look great stretched across to cover up that horrible open triangle look ::)
but that is just me i don't get the appeal of that look ???
is that an open pipe? if so do us all a favor and muffle it at least somewhat

Ha! I've gone great lengths for that open triangle look!

Now I'm brainstorming on a small saddle bag. Maybe leather, maybe brushed aluminum...maybe to fit in that triangle.

No, the pipes are not open. They are actually the stock mufflers that I modified a bit.

I love the idea of building a bag into the rear triangle. That sounds awesome.

Fenders will help the back end look more finished too. Right now it looks like the front is completely buttoned up and the back is waiting for more attention (just visually - which is obviously just an opinion).

For those that may have followed this thread, I'm sorry about the lack of recent posts. However, the bike is complete!

Thanks for following!

I like the air box idea... Good job on repairing the engine block! That looked like it must've been a bitch or two.

Thank you. The repair was a pain at the time, but I learned something. I actually did I similar repair on a buddies motor recently, the repair went great. All the trouble was worth it in the end!

Very well done! Got any more photos of that airbox design?

If you search my name there is a thread I made on the design/build with a bunch of pics.
